I'm using a 2004 HS33 Magura in this video. This method will work just as well for 2005 levers.
@liamnorwood12 жыл бұрын
It should work, check that all the barbs and hose fittings are tight and make sure you unscrew the TPA before bleeding. unscrew and screw in the bleed Bolt and Screw underwater. then you just need to get the technique right. take your time and practise! :)

hey man, thanks for the video, always helpful. Do you not remove the master cyclinder when doing this?

this is a F-ing joke right! water will destroy your brakes !!!!!!!! DO NOT USE WATER!
@VictorGarcia-gy8yv7 жыл бұрын
MIKE JIMENEZ haha you dont now nothing about trials, and there are specify brakes for water (not in this case)
@olirendell76744 жыл бұрын
Very Late to this party. Trails riders used to use water because it didn't freeze up as quickly as mineral oil or something like that. I'm not 100% because I ride Bmx and is just here looking for hydraulic rim breaks reviews and stumbled across this.
@dannymagic3332 жыл бұрын
It's to do with responsiveness for the brakes not the freezing point (oil won't freeze water does 👍) Water is less viscous so the brakes are applied faster that's all 👍 and it's cheaper 😂😂

Bleeding the brakes with water will destroy them !!! After a few days or weeks the levers will not function properly.

Do you know WHY oil is used in brakes? Heat transfers from the pads >> pistons >> brake fluid....if your brake fluid is water and you're flying down a hill, the water boils and you're left with no brakes. You're not that bright are you?
@liamnorwood11 жыл бұрын
Hi Eric, Water bleeding of a magura is only used on trials bikes, because it's a relatively static sport and riders don't drag their brakes, the rim brakes do not get "hot"....feel free to watch some of my recent videos and i'm sure you'll understand. Thanks, Liam.
@epiphoneerik11 жыл бұрын
Ahhh...didn't see that these were rim brakes till the end. I know discs would be a different story.
@UberMicroRepairs8 жыл бұрын
Your a moron! Anyways. Remember water freezes and expands so if you leave your bike out in sub zero temps you'll have split hoses and cracked callipers. Use some sort of alcohol water mix.
@stephanjager89178 жыл бұрын
brakes convert kinetic energie into heat.... but if you think, that rimbrakes arnt getting hot... good luck on the way down...
@lukebyfield27257 жыл бұрын
in trials there is little to no heat build up as the sport is virtually stationary and the job of the brake is to stop the wheel entirely not to modulate, trials riders will rarely ride the bikes any sort of distance and will tend to foot break as we dont want to ruin our rim grind or shred the pads
