Nice illustrations. That seems like a well tested way to secure a helmet without clasps.

Excellent. Consider one about footwear! Especially for travel/combat vs formal . And please one on the variations of the bamboo/straw style samurai covers; the different style/names and the use(s) of! Brilliant channel , Keep up the hard work, Odin and I and certainly others do appreciate the insights. 🙇♂️🙏🏻🙇♂️ 🕉

Ah so this what my friend meant by making the helmet 'using'the safety helmet instead of just taking the inner parts. I made Masamune Date helm as well using EVA foam for cosplay but couldnt figure out the straps so ended up using velcro for the chins but no idea how to do the the knot below the lips. Thanks to this video, Ill be able to improve my crafting. Using rope for detailing is actually a great idea. less cutting and less painting.

I tried this knot while wearing my armor and it looks good, although the rope for my helmet is much thicker and I have a menpo on as well. My only issue is that the chin square knot covers the goatee that the menpo has

From where did you buy the menpo? Yours should have like to pins on each side to help secure it
