In the old times, women didn't wear underwear. The saree has a slit in the middle, going all the way to the back. Just open the slit and squat.

sorry to tell u...that..its not the real or authentic way to drape a maharashtrian or navvari saree..this jus gives u the look.. the speciality abt marathi 9 yard saree is...even if the kashta is tied..no parts legs are seen
