Yes that would be great! One thing I have wondered about that when watching Chinese historical dramas are which garments do they remove for bed and actually sleep in. Some dramas makes me wonder if they just do not want to undress the actor at all and others seem to have them sleep in what I think is proper foundation garments. Another thing the internet hasn’t been able to answer me yet is also when they sleep in the dramas they never take down their hairs at all. Is this saving money for the production or did they never let the hair down to sleep?

It wasn't as common for men to wear standing collars as women during the Ming Dynasty, but by the late Qing Dynasty it became a popular element on the Manchurian outfits for both men and women.

Beautiful fabrics, wonderful pieces individually, however I find together, the shape of the figure is lost, it all looks boxy, oversized, like wearing ones parents clothes. Unlike some Hanfu styles, this one does not appear flattering to me. That beautiful skirt is mostly hidden.

The buttons are called 子母扣 in Chinese, not sure if there is a standard English translation but the direct translation would be “mother and child buttons”. The piece with a ring is the mother piece, the other piece is held by the mother piece and is therefore called the child piece.

I always thought it was a Manchu Mongol thing. Even Wikipedia says it was from qing. How about Ming pleated skirts? I read it was from Mongols, but then I saw a Qin pleated skirt.

Someone should correct that Wikipedia page! lol Qing dynasty Manchurian ladies wore Manchurian dresses, while the Han ladies wore Ming dynasty style hanfu for the most part, including the pleated style skirt.

Before the Ming Dynasty, Goryeo customs were popular during the Yuan Dynasty. This is the fashion of Goryeo clothes, bowls, and food. The reason why the clothes of Ming Dynasty and Hanbok are similar is because was already popular in Ming Dynasty. As the record, Hongxi, emperor of Ming dynasty, prohibited the Goryeo custom because he thought it's not belong to Han and he ordered to recover the custom of Han. Before the Ming dynasty, both Sui and Tang dynasty is not established by Han but Xianbei. Yuan dynasty is neither Han but Mongolian It is also in the Chinese history book. 《菽园杂记》：“马尾裙始于朝鲜国，流入京师 于是无贵无贱，服者日盛。至成化末年，朝臣多服之者矣。阁老万公安冬夏不脱。大臣不服者惟黎吏侍淳一人而已。此服妖也，弘治初始有禁例。

What is the factual basis for South Korea's claim on Hanbok.During the Yuan Dynasty, Koryo was not a country, but China's eastern province. The king of Koryo was only the Prime Minister of the eastern province. During the Yuan Dynasty, Korean clothing has been fully Mongolian. The murals of the tomb of bureaucrat 朴翊 in Miyang, South Korea, can be found in Mongolian style hanbok. Due to the control and influence of the Yuan Dynasty, Korean braided hair and Mongolian clothes are popular, and the loyal king once ordered people to braid hair and change Mongolian clothes. South Korea provide a large number of eunuchs and palace maids to China. At best, these Mongolian palace maids affected the clothing of some Mongolian nobles. And it is obvious that male Mongolian nobles will not like the clothes of Korean eunuchs. After the establishment of the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang(朱元璋) clearly instructed to restore the clothes of Han traditional costume, and the clothes of the Yuan Dynasty were thrown into the pile of old paper, so the Hanbok could not have influence on Hanfu of the Ming Dynasty.
