I like the way you talk about bending and removing weeds that are obviously easy to see and can be removed by hand. Makes sense and like you say, ‘just getting started...’!!!

That's the best tip of all...weed after a rainy period! Soooo much easier! After you rake up the weeds apply Preen and new mulch and your done. Time for a gin and tonic!

Just found your channel I've been landscaping since I was twelve (my dad owns a company) I'm 32 now. I know a lot simply from being around the field. I been watching your videos all day, it's been raining. I really enjoy your work it's cool seeing people take this field seriously. Also I'm working for a company out of North Stonington. Small world lol. Thank you for the videos I certainly appreciate and enjoy them

Glad you're enjoying the videos. I think you nailed it on the head with taking this field seriously though it never occurred to me. My goal is to educate those who want it whether they'e working on their own house or someone else's. Stonington is a haul from where I am. Thanks again for watching.

Thanks for this video We just purchased our 1st home, and our budget dsnt allow for professional landscapers. So, to start we have been doing it ourselves. I was doing mostly everything by hand. The property had been on the market since Oct '18, and its now June!

That's all great if you can get down on your knees - how about us at 86 and unable to bend?

This is my job, we mainly hand pick to get it perfect and leave no green scraps lying around that hoes tend to leave behind, have picking may take longer but it looks a lot better. If theres a bunch in a malch patch try to sweep a little of the malch away and just grab the beed base root and if its thick twist it while pulling up and it comes out almost every time. Also if your bed care fucking do yourself a favor and shake out the dirt so we don't have to shovel out dirt clumps at the dump

watched video. Defenately buying a soil knife. On the wild chives,(have those too), are they not good for consumption?
