I just set my Miller 250 to 85-90 and do a quick weave with no hesitation. It gives me a slight undercut on the edge that fills as I go . Everyone is different, but I pass the x-ray

staying in the bevel till the cap is important but I have always justified it with the recognition that when you break down that hard edge early in the procedure it makes it more difficult to see during follow up passes.

I have 50€ device from AliExpress but i never was able to stick to Metal piece together because the glue works better than that welding what i made…by the way I don’t know why each time the electrode sticks to the metal ..

Great video! Any chance you could do a 1G open root butt weld video 1/8 6010 root 1/8 7018 fill on 3/8 plate. I have been really struggling with the root. Do you have any good ways to practice this?
@LilFish0 Жыл бұрын
Make sure your putting landings on your open root plates so there’s something the metal can land on with the root pass. I prefer 3/32 landing. If it’s a job your practicing for, the gap and landing might be fixed to something else on the WPS.

To all want to be welders. Forget about stick unless all you want to do is pipe. Pipe is a small majority of welding and mostly only used for pipe and deck welding (you don't want to be a decker either).
@notanymore9471 Жыл бұрын
What? Don’t give advice bud you obviously aren’t qualified to. Smaw is used all over and pipe pays the best most of the time.

@@notanymore9471 ….Then you have obviously never been on a structural steel job and must be a piper. This is why I say unless you just plan on doing pipe forget about stick. Deckers put the decking down for the concrete to be poured for the floors.
