Frame sliders getting an impact will cause a stress fracture in the frame. Worst product ever imo
@elorusk
@elorusk 3 жыл бұрын
@@depfeffel6455 When a bike is 'dismounted at speed' the kinetic energy going forward dispels a portion of the initial impact against the road, placing more strain laterally against the plastic frame slider puck. Certainly not enough to fracture a motorcycle frame. If my motorcycle frame were to crack from such an impact, I would re-evaluate where I'm getting my bikes from. I restored a Honda CB500F under a salvage title from a wreck in which the bike tumbled several times. The forks were bowed in, the clutch mangled and half alive, plastics all shot to shit, etc. The frame sliders that the previous owner put on there saved that bike from the scrapyard. Now, fully restored, I drive it nearly every day with 0 issues; 13k miles and still going strong.

When I want to learn how to wheelie eventually I’ll buy a dirtbike as I used to ride dirt bikes when I was a kid and when I started high school but dad sold it for money and so I could focus on my shopping. Now that i got my license and enough money to buy a bike myself I’ll learn to ride road then later get a 450 or a 2t for enduro riding as that’s something I want to do in the coming years for fun if it’s wet on the weekends or I can still go to the dirtbike tracks

The most important thing you need to know about " learning " how to do a wheelie is, expect a lot of mistakes. That's why you start practicing with your bicycle, when you're a little kid. And when and IF you master it, keep practicing until you think you're ready to try on you're street bike. That way, you know what to expect... lots of bumps and bruises broken bike etc. Every wheelie show off is one blip of the throttle away from disaster, that's why the saying goes, " keep both feet on the pegs and both wheels on the ground. If you wanna feel real intensity, try out a WINGED SUIT and jump out of a plane. The " rush " lasts longer and you get to parachute after your adrenaline fix.

And this is why we have issues as riders. If your gonna be stunting stay tf off the streets, if you can't keep up gtfo the road. You kids doing wheelies down the highway pisses the rest of us off... we ride to escape life's drama and than we see you crash and die and it ruins our day more because a brother or sister is dead. If your gonna stunt, stay padded up on a closed corse or in an area that you can maintain saftey. We loves our bikes so treat her like you care

Last year alone I went to 37 candle lightings, 14 funerals and spent most of my season checking on people in the hospital. I'm tired of losing family, friends and loved ones. We flash the ✌ to each other but seldom do you see another stunt rider telling his friend he's being dumb on the open road. Cars don't see us already, please.... as a brother and fellow motorcycle lover..... USE YOUR FUCKING HEAD! I may not know you but I love you

The only part about learning to wheelie that takes that much time, is finding that balance point right before it falls over backwards. Right before it falls over it will settle in. That's the part that's hard for new/beginner riders to master !!!

I see a lot of people saying, just crash a few times and you will learn. Yeah, that does work but most people don’t want there bikes sliding on the ground 15 times a day and most people don’t have cash to get a smaller bike that they can use as a drop bike. If you can, yeah, there’s no better way to learn then to jump in head first and take a few falls at some what a slow speed to not get hurt. But I’m sure there’s a way to get it with a bike and not have to fall. Not that it still can’t happen cuz you risk that every time, even if you can do it like a pro, there’s still chance. I would get fully comfortable with your bike, master your back brake, master your throttle, know how much power is where. That way your not surprised by anything. Cuz that’s when you flip it. And once you have that, start giving it just a bit a fast power so the front goes up few inches. After you can do that no problem keep going higher and higher after perfecting each height. After you have it coming up like a foot or 2 start getting comfortable with using the back brake to bring bike back down. So when you do have it up in the air later on you will have that already down pact, back brake, bring it down when you start getting that feeling something ain’t right. You don’t want to have to get comfortable with using your back brake at that moment u need it. Better to get that while the wheel not so high and gonna come down anyway. Than bam, one day, you will have that wheel up, fully under control, using back brake when u need to, with out thing and same with the throttle. You will know just how much you need to give to put it where. Then practice practice practice, and you will go further and further. Never force anything. If it wants to come down, let it. If it wants to go to high that’s when being comfortable with using the back brake while the front is up will come in handy. Tap that thing and try and get it back where u want it, or let it fall back to the ground if that’s where it wants to go. You should get it up with time and practice. And could be done with having to fall. Again, it’s always a risk cuz your taking a wheel and putting it in the air. So be ready to deal with it cuz nothing is 100%. Then after you master the power wheelie, you can start messing with the clutch and all that. I’m no pro or anything, I was just sitting here thinking, how would I try to do this with taking out as much risk as possible. And this is how I would do it. I’m sure if I’m wrong I’ll be told so by all the pros out there. ( not saying that sarcastically, there are some people out there that know, I know nothing. I’m just seeing a problem and coming up with a solution with the bit of info I have.) I don’t have money to through away on a practice bike, so I would try it this way. All starting with getting to a point I know everything about my bike. Cuz trying on a bike u got last week sounds like a fail. Hit that throttle a bit to much thinking you’re getting a little power and you get a bunch cuz your not familiar with your bike yet, your gonna end up on your back. So learn your bike before you even think of trying to pop the wheel up.

This is how people get seriously hurt. The first wheelie you should learn is a clutch up with a 125cc or so dirt bike, going slow, on flat grass or a parking lot. If you can wheelie slowly, you can wheelie going fast.
