If all is put together and seems to be leak free etc., should the agitator be able to be moved if you turn it with your hand? Ours seems to be immovable, so am wondering if we have done everything properly. If the agitator is supposed to move, what would you say we might have missed? We have not hooked up the wiring or water hoses yet, nor replaced the outer casing.

What is this oil made of? Is this a synthetic gear oil? What's the viscosity?

90w gear oil

@@seeya205 Okay. I thought that's what GE filter-flo also uses. Or maybe it's 40w grease.

@@jeromedavis8575 Yes, GE uses the 40w.

Can one just pull out the bottom seal, put the oil in that seal hole, then put a new seal in?

Exactly the info I needed, thanks. Is there any seals that should be replaced before gear oil is replaced?

Should probably have hooked up the water filler

Decent video except for the seal will most likely fail on the transmission because there was like 3 drips of oil on the still-wet sealent. Meaning that they mixed. The oil shouldve been wiped off and the sealant replaced b4 continuing the repair to be confident of a proper repair.

My transmission appears to be leaking small amounts of the oil from the bottom. There is a small round metal hole down there which almost looks like it contains a drain plug, but it doesn’t appear to be keyed. I’m not sure what this is or if it has a seal.

@@williammchugh4361 That's the other end of the agitator shaft. If the seal is leaking there you'll prob have to replace the transmission as I don't think you can buy those seals separately.
