Thank You! I had a feeling I just needed a new seal. The repair guy wanted to charge me $216 for a new pump and $180 for labor. I bought the part for $23 and My dishwasher is not leaking anymore!

From the 4:00 minute mark, where it says to pull towards us a little bit or slightly down (or away) from the sump, there is a post on my Kitchenaid D/W pump housing that must clear the sump ring in order for the pump to come out of the tab. This is not mentioned nor is it visible in this video. I can imagine if this isn't reinstalled correctly it would cause seating problems with the pump.

So, if I see soapy water puddling directly under the pump, does that mean its most likely the sump seal?

For some reason I can't get the pump to seat all the way into the new seal. It wants to back out, should the tab on the sump click inside the rubber mount? The repair guy couldn't get it all the way in either, and this is why the seal keeps failing.
