Pretty darn good instructional video. I have a 160A and it was good to see the demo of the vector scope. (Never mind these videos on my KZbin account. They're awful, shot a long time ago on a consumer camera.)
@MatrixWriter12 жыл бұрын
It really depends on your needs/preferrences. The reason why I bought the 160A over the 130A was for the higher frame rates (1080/60p), HD-SDI, and pro-audio.

Great video. I have the AC130 version. It's an awesome camcorder my only complain is that it cuts around 30 mins creates a new clip. I'm not sure if this is a safety feature but some of my clients want 1 single video clip with no cuts. I ran through the manual I can't find this in the setting. I hope someone can help me here. Thank you in advance.

MC Thanks! This is not an issue with the camera but rather a limitation of the FAT32 file system. It is limited to 4GB max file size. The camera creates a new clip from the recording stream. In order to merge them together, please use the Import function on your video editing software rather than copy the raw video file directly from the SD card. The Import function in your video editing suite takes account for the extra data related to file split when recording for more than 30 minutes. If you don't import that video correctly, you will have clipped audio and dropped frames. This applies for most cameras out there...Plug in your camera via USB or plug in the SD card. Import the video file from the program. Example, In Sony Vegas, you would import your video through Device Explorer and in Final Cut you would use Log and Transfer. Newer cameras I believe use a different file system, so they don't have this issue today, I believe. Hope that helps!

Thank you for the response. I wonder if Premiere Pro has this import thing
@MatrixWriter7 жыл бұрын
MC No problem! All professional video editing program have this import feature. For Adobe Premiere, you will be using the Media Browser to import the split files as a continuous video clip. Stan Arthur has a great tutorial video on this called "How to import segmented or spanned AVCHD files" kzbin.info/www/bejne/a6nLZpevZ56anM0 Hope that helps!

Thanks for this video man, this really helped, but I also had a question. Is there a possible way to color calibrate the R, G, B scales? I am starting to use a BlackMagic UltraScope and I am having trouble finding how to individually balance the R, G, B levels. For some set- ups you will indeed need a CCU (which makes this a lot easier) but I do not have that luxury. I do know that I have a pair of Sony cameras and they let me manually adjust the levels of each color. Is there a way to do that for these cameras?
@MatrixWriter9 жыл бұрын
+GameerBoy Thanks for your question. Unfortunately there is no way to do this in the camera. You can adjust other advanced parameters in the SCENE settings of the camera, otherwise only color temp in the white balance part. -MatrixWriter

HELLO SIR, Since i am amature in operation of camera and i have bought AC and when i am working against sunlight in open area to capture video of players for their analysis i find a shiny video how can i adjust it i put camera on AUTO MODE please guide
@MatrixWriter9 жыл бұрын
+idrees danish Wani You will want to use ND filters for outdoor shooting -must do that manually with moving of knob and you can enable auto exposure mode which is done by controlling iris - look for iris button near white balance button. This is detailed vol. 2 of the Panasonic AC camera series.

Are you trying to adjust the video bitrate or audio? That would be under Rec Format in the menu settings. Hope that helps!

+MatrixWriter Thank you for the quick reply. It has been requested by my employer to improve the audio. When i press'Record Setup' in the menu, I see the following: Rec format, 2 Slots function, Pre-Rec, TCG, TC Preset, UB Preset, Time Stamp, i.Zoom, Auto Slow SHTR, Mic Setup, 2ch MIC ALC (on), ext Mic gain1, ext Mic gain2 I really have no idea where to look for that function....?
@MatrixWriter9 жыл бұрын
+marmary No problem! There should be an option for this in recording setup to adjust all recording parameters, including audio quality. Here's the manual for the advanced setting: ftp://ftp.panasonic.com/provideo/agac90a/ag-ac90a_advanced_oi.pdf

kavitha studio You will need to have appropriate audio codecs on your system to playback highest quality linear PCM audio format via VLC. The other format is Dolby Digital which should be playable by default in VLC. Both formats of audio are playable in most nonlinear video editing programs. Hope that helps!

Please make sure that you are not using too high of a video gain setting. Maximum usable gain settings tends to be +9dB, higher values seem to be to noisey. Additionally, please remove any ND filter for low light shooting. Hope that helps!

Sorry for the late response - those 3 things have to do with contrast, dynamic range, and color profiles. It's hard to explain in a comments section. I might make a video on this and how Panasonic implements it.
