Unions really need to come around to universal basic income and start actively pushing for it as a key legislative demand. Unions should care about every worker, not just those within Unions, and not just paid workers, but also unpaid too. Everyone should have the power to withhold their labor until their demands are met. That should be the foundation under the entire labor market. I hope this video finds many many viewers.

The best part about it is that we dont have to wait for a government to pass UBI, we can just... create it and try it out. Making use of what the private sector does best: innovating with efficiency.This is a uniquely American solution - I am fully on board with it.

Conrad, sounds like this applies to other unions beyond just actors, right? And perhaps other people in general. Wanting your fellow humans (and yourself) to have basic needs covered doesn't have to be political; it is simply an act of kindness.

Absolutely this applies to all unions, and to all people. It can help to frame it in the context of the current issues, and also we're exploring the option to build functionality into Comingle that would allow for a smaller Comingle offshoot within a smaller common interest group.

Maybe there's branding potential in "the people's union." Google seems to think that phrase has already been used in a lot of other contexts already, though.
