If you're out of position, your decision should be shove or fold, so look at your stack size. If you're in position, you have the additional option of calling or 4 betting. Which path you take if IP will be based on your opponent's style, any history, effective stack sizes, where in the 77-JJ range you are etc. You can take a set mining approach with the low end, and a pure position line with TT, JJ.

this is a very intresting video, i am an (profiabtle) amateur poker player, who ONLY plays MTTs, and what ive learned is, yea having a big stack at the final table is an advantage, i would never give up value, to make it to the final table. because once u get there, all u have to do is play the "ladder game". not that hard. although i would give up value, right before the min cash. because i would rather have a better position, to even make it to the final table. i found that, most of the time, if you are a solid player, AKA confident in short/medium/big stack play, then it doesnt matter. i have come into the final table as a short stack, and just dominated the table, because im a really skilled shortstack player, i am an above average, medium and big stack player. and once it gets to the final 6, alot of people really dont know how to adjust their game. or even 5 handed, or 4 handed, thats where the edge is made. you gotta be a strong 6 max player, and heads up player. think about it, the most money you will make in the tourney, is when it gets down to heads up.

Crazy how guys put in this amount of volume. He’s basically just a mathematician going for max value when he has the (what he thinks is) most equity and if he loses the flip it doesn’t matter because there’s so much volume the numbers will balance out. Insane

Truth here. Best advise i ever got was to play hyper aggressive as the bubble nears. Most people nit up seeking that cash. I've tripled my stack without getting called doing this, and even increased it 10x with action and a little luck. You give up some 2x cashes for better shots at taking down tourneys for 20-25% of the total pool

I haven't had time yet to sift through your material, but if you haven't already, you should get some gameplay commentary, as well-as poker analysis videos. I would personally like to see videos on reading your opponent, situations, and how to get value out of your hands! cheers

So make it to the money, and then take some chances to put yourself into a nice position for the final table.. good video! I often find myself at the end of the bubble, or beginning of the money, blinding out because of one or two bad decisions.. that's why I've always been scared to "take chances" to position myself nicely for the final table.. I'm always worried about surviving, and getting as high up on the pay ladder as possible. Then, the final table is out of the question 99% of the time,

So to sum it up, they play a huge volume of games, but since they play such a volume of game they can coin flip certain hands in hopes of higher stack, and with a high volume of games they get lucky some certain times to make it to final table with a fat stack. Then he dominates final table by playing for real now with smarter plays
@buzzin00888 жыл бұрын
Can you go more indepth with making it to the final table? I consider myself a really decent tournament player. I played 11$ Sunday Mini Kick off on pokerstars with 9000 players and i finished 21st yesterday but I want to know how to play property with the final tables left. Shaun deeb does something I want to learn, any way you can educate us more about this :)?

@takiownspoker77716 жыл бұрын
I disagree with your thinking. You need to calculate his average All-In Equity with ICM consideration in all his final tables. Luck plays an insane factor in an MTT player annual income, and some players DO run better than others in final tables of their entire career. This makes a huge difference in a poker player's career.
@davidp.76205 жыл бұрын
Short answer: you run well
@Tuxster311 жыл бұрын
You couldn't have made this video much shorter by simply saying that during the mid-stages of MTTs Shaun likes to gamble and he gets lucky and wins those gambles. You kept saying that skill predominates his play, but you haven't shown this in the video. Please talk about and show where skill predominates.

I think we will. There is enough political will. The problem is that will is fragmented across diverse interest groups that cannot agree: Indian Tribes, State Lotteries, Horse Racing, Nevada Casinos. Some form of consensus will emerge eventually. The moral conservative voters and politicians have a clear opposition to it, but I truly feel they are a loud minority in the issue. I wouldn't wait around for it. Play live. It will pass as suddenly and unannounced as the UIGEA did.
