I believe when an ISFP learns to harness their introverted functions by not comparing with others and not basing their self-worth upon others' approval, they can become some of the most mature people in the world. And it's these happy little coincidences that can potentially make an ISFP very successful and happy in life.

True help for ISFP. .. is to CONTACT YOUR RAGE whenever you feel it. Realize how far back it goes. Only thing to help you face this insensitive world which is often too much for us. And don’t placate people or put yourself down to make others laugh at your expense. ..(bc you’re so quirky and cute…and want to be safe). Step up, don’t screw yourself, be who you really are! You’re a true artist in a calculating, greedy, insensitive world…. don’t get stepped on. 75 year old ISFP here. It’s taken that long. Good luck!!

Approximate Goals: Daily - Deal with one thing I want to procrastinate on, so I can get it over with and not have to have that unpleasantness tomorrow. Do something to make someone else’s life a little more pleasant. Do a lot of this if possible. Weekly - Produce something tangible that is designed to make someone smile. Another excellent video. You sum up the ISFP better than most others. You asked for approximate goals, so here was mine. As a nature lover and wildlife fanatic it was my ambition, (yep it's a dirty word for us) to visit as many different ecosystems and beautiful places as I could. So I went to the savannah in Uganda, the cloudforest in Ecuador, the coral reefs in Indonesia, and many others. Am now completely broke and have no real home, but wouldn't have changed a thing. Life is experiential, so you gotta experience it.

Everyday I wake up, I’m under so much stress, That I just workout constantly, and I constantly am trying to escape my anxiety of the future, and my responsibilities, so the first thing I think when I wake up is “I HAVE to exercise” and it is not so much a future goal, but an awareness that The reason I’m stuck where I am now is because of me neglecting my body and being in my comfort zone… so I see what’s directly in front of me, what I can literally do right now to feel valid and like I’m idk… adequate to… myself? Idk lol. I’m not doing it for looks, just the sensation… the clarity, and I can say I’m not doing nothing. I really struggle with bipolar disorder. But really though, I just want the adrenaline, sometimes I climb buildings and stand at the edge to kind of get my heart pumping so I feel free… like my fear of death is not what controls me… I feel safer higher up, and I feel safer the more physical stress I feel… because stress of the future, is what truly causes me suffering. I work on a farm, and always feel the need to convey my values through some kind of logic, because I don’t think people have a reason to value my emotions inherently… so I come off as cold detached and logical, but really I’m under stress and need people to think it’s important for functionality… I’m just basically appealing to my inferior function via validation which I feel ashamed of saying. Because I believe I have the right to expect people to just take it or leave it as I am. But i end up just distancing myself…. Hiding… just stuck in my head, and in my fear… and I just am constantly trying to break free of my own mind… I get mistyped as an intj a LOT. Even infj. But it’s because I’ve developed my functions super awkwardly, along with mental illness, ptsd, etc… I’m 18 btw. And I took a lot of psychedelics in my early teens, so my Ni is pretty active… I’d say I use it more frequently than Se, and I neglected my Se for a long time especially after I was in military school (which really fucked me up) but the reality is I’ve found, Ni is actually something that causes me problems with the way I use it.

Wow thank you sooo muchhh. It’s so difficult to do that when you were raised with a narc mother or conservative family. They broke me down to the point that I was so scared to forge my own path. Man, the idea of approximate goals is genious. I tried previously to make list of things I have to do, but in the end it would turn into a routine, which I would try to avoid. But approximate goals, yes, why didn't I think about it before. It is like not something I surely have to do, but it would be there in the back of my head and it would give me some direction or sorts. Yes!

No.3 got me. I want to learn a language but am discouraged by how little I know when I start. The thing is, I've taught myself a foreign language before and am good at it. At that time, I didn't intentionally take it up as something I have to learn. I just got curious, aimlessly read the dictionary, remembered random stuff and watched shows. Intuitively picked up the language. However, now, when I want to try and learn another language, I can't do it because it feels like going to school T_T. I also want to improve playing this musical instrument (also self-taught, I'm poor), so I tried enrolling in a music class. Quit after 3 classes because I can't deal with the homework that focused on just one song. I wanted to ditch that song for a while and play something else. I know what I have to do but I'm just not doing it...

Well, thats one way of thinking about it. If being ambitious in anynway is unseemly to you, that's fine. However, some ISFPs have strong artistic talents that they choose to share with the world. From my narrow perspective, that makes my little slice of the world a better place. So, understandably, for these ISFPs to develop and display their talents, some degree of ambition is needed.
@DamaniJones4 жыл бұрын
I view ambition as the highest level of self-expression. It’s all about bringing yourself to be your best self for yourself and whomever else you’re concerned about. Without ambition, it’s just carnal, animalistic existence where very few can benefit from your existence...and I’d rather make the world a better place before leaving it. If it requires me to push myself and become the best version of myself, so be it. -INTJ

I am an ENTJ, so ISFP is my polar MBTI type. I find myself watching all the MBTI videos on KZbin and crave the "booty" of presentation versus the data-driven content. The synthesis of style and substance is the miracle of a Ferrari or Lamborgini. Great mechanical performance, filled like an eclair with rich Corinthian leather that is 'dreamy creamy'! Speak to each MBTI type in the context, tone, and color that it deserves. Take care of the individual's taste in your consulting, as a chef caters to his best customer. (I’m an ISFP)At first ai thought that I may have tested wrong because I look at the world through a tinted lens. I found that it is because I was raised in a critically thinking and more or less toxic environment, so I find myself more being more reserved and try to keep to myself if I can help it. But when I can find an authentic person, I can just relax and explode into a world of conversation. It might also be because I am a vergo and thus a ‘human lie detector’ that I can only feel like I can be myself around those who genuinely accept me.

I relate so much to all of this video . . . "not competing" . . . I have a hobby that I sometimes go to competitions in. After thinking about this endlessly (INTP) I realized that I am actually the most competitive when being the most layed-back noncompetitive person I can possibly be. I love the paradox. What's really going on is an internal competition with my own rules. Is this something that also applies to an INTP? I also have an approximate goal of making comments on your older videos hoping to refresh interest in them. I will most likely set this activity aside and pick it up again at some later time . . maybe.

I'm an ISFP watching this in my beautiful home with a beautiful view trying to bring beauty into the world with my watercolour painting whilst procrastinating about my goal to be a professional illustrator :P

I used to think I was an INFP until I took CS Joseph's latest test and got a result of ISFP. when I heard to explanation it was me 100% INFP was always Very like me but with a couple that weren't me but ISFP is describing me perfectly. especially when ive always been doing something creative like game design or writing. its all art, we are the Artisans.

I am damn sure that tonnes of INTPs, ISTPs, INFPs, INFJs, INTJs and a huge number of ENTPs and ENFPs are ISFPs in reality.

Thank you! I am a mix of INFP, ISFP, INFJ. I have all the cognitive functions. But my Fi is dominant. I don't want to put myself into a box. But I am trying to become an INFJ. And developing my Se, Ni. Then I concentrate on Fe, Ti. Good luck for me! All I want is to be happy here and hereafter. So I can change my mind to become an INFJ. Thank you a lot! Love you all!💛
