@@shannonjohnson6647if you have your set together on your tile board, you can hover over the starting numbers and collect the others that you can play. Please let me know if this helps and make sense!

In the end, there are just so many things that can be done with the original Rummikub tiles. There are probably not “advanced” tips and tricks. However, you can buy a different version that contains some “bonus” tiles and those may give you the challenge you are looking for.

At 10:45 you could have also created a longer run by making a set of your 4s (as opposed to just creating the set of four 13s). if you removed one of the red 4 tiles on the board, you could have created a longer red run, while also creating a set of three 4s with the two 4 tiles in your rack. :)

The rules you use for moving the joker are different from what comes with the game we have. I’m our game you have to replace the joker with the exact tile it represents before you can take it

Ideally, that’s what I am doing. But then I am building on it, so that it no longer needs to be in replacement. That app I am using is the official rummicube game with the official rules, so it wouldn’t let me do something incorrect

You say this app wont let you do anything incorrect when dealing with the moving of the Joker. We play that once the joker is in meld, you cannot manipulate it unless: you have the exact tile to represent what the joker was representing, PLUS you have to have the 2 tiles to make a meld with the Joker -that come from your hand. No grabbing tiles on the board to make your meld with the newly acquired Joker.

11:16 actually can line up both12&13 & two 10s. But not sure if remaining one 11 or two 10s would be better? the two 10s may be easier to line up later?

We play with turn time limits, otherwise you can almost always find a way...another tip, take a picture before you reorganize tiles, in case you aren't successful. This really only applies to the physical game, not digital.

You have to have them lined up and then hold the first one, then they should all be able to move in groups.

at 3:22 "the joker could replace the 4" I thought you could only use a joker thats in play if you replace it with something in your hand? can you elaborate?

You need to replace it OR make sure at the end of your turn the board is still cleanly balanced. I am playing the app made by the real company with the official rules. They would not let me do something that wasn’t allowed.

Actually you are incorrect. You don’t need to first wait for the exact tile it is replacing. I am playing with the official Rummikub rules. You can use the joker as long as you end your turn with a complete board and you cannot put the joker back in your rack.

Can't see the last play because 4 squares of advertisement popped up and hid the tiles. Otherwise it is good. Don't understand why you put the fifth number one tile on a meld and then ended that game. If I had done that in a real online game, the computer would have told me it was not legal and put all the tiles back in my hand that didn't belong.

Thanks for the tips. It drives me crazy when players line up the tiles like you suggest to see sequence by number or color. You should be able to figure that out without lining up the tiles.

Being dyslexic it helps my brain reorganizing by color! If a strategy works for a player they should definitely use it.

That’s why when my husband and I play sets, we place them in alphabetical order color name wise: black, blue, red, yellow. No rearranging necessary 🌚

Thats actually not true. The rules in this video I show are the “official” rules of the game. I get people play with variations though.
