It is a real old trick! As I mentioned in the video description long time ago I knew an upholstery shop whose ramshackle machines did not have bobbin winders, hence the upholsterers (I ma included lol) wound the bobbins that way. As we can see in the video is a very fast way to load bobbins with thread. Thanks so much for watching the videos!

I do not recommend it, just mentioned as an anecdote in a shop whose sewing machines did not have table bobbin winders which are very cheap. Thanks for watching the video!

I have the same bobbin winder like yours which runs off of the sewing machine drive belt. I mounted the bobbin winder onto a separate board. I took the pulley off of the bobbin winder and tighten the chuck of a small drill motor onto the shaft in place of the belt pulley to directly drive it. It's faster and saves wear on the sewing machine.

Thanks so much for sharing a new interesting idea on how to install a bobbin winder independently on the sewing machine board! Thanks for watching this video!

thank you for your quick response unfortunately I did not see what interests me. I am talking about the height of the presser foot to be able to sew thicker 15 MM ABOUT THE FOAM PLUS THE IMITATION LEATHER (SKAI) and your video shows the pressure on the imitation. Can you explain to me how to do it or show it to me. I love your videos they are very visual.

The regulation is in the rear part. The highest position of 'wing nut' moves the 'small presser foot' to its maximum height to feed thick materials. Min: one:17 of this video:kzbin.info/www/bejne/g3bSdWCAm5eBoZY This is a 145 Pfaff Min: two:16 kzbin.info/www/bejne/gGGtio2opKiXsNE The wing nut should be moved upwards to uppest position to sew thick materials.

Pfaff 145 mechanisms are similar to 1245 and 545 models. Hopefully, this information is useful:kzbin.info/www/bejne/g3bSdWCAm5eBoZY kzbin.info/www/bejne/i2Src4t4eal-pdE

@Cechaflo3 жыл бұрын

Hello, thank you so much for your videos. I plan to take some of your courses. But before I do I have a very basic question (off topic for this video, but wanted to post on your most recent video): Where should we go to get the leathers that you show in some of your projects? I'm in the USA and cannot seem to find consistent leathers for car upholstery from Tandy. Or, are your leathers really a vinyl simulated leather? Thanks for your help.

I am located in Mexico, anyways I have got some information on where to get upholstery leather (automotive): www.danfieldinc.com/ www.worlduph.com/ relicate.com/ www.carrollleather.com/automotive-leather The leather I use in the videos are real cow upholstery leather. Thanks for watching the videos!

@@cotton77837 You are welcome to this channel anytime! I have a video that would be of great help to recognize automotive leathers which have a transparent sealer on top to add resistant to daily traffic in a car interior: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rYHaaIafrbaVbdE Do these tests on an inconspicuous area/edge of the leather you are going to purchase.
