drain the oil filter before you take it off. put a drain pan / small tray under the filter then punch a small hole on the back lower part of the filter. 90% of the oil will drain out.

hey man great video. question though, when i hooked up my ear muffs last year i noticed that the water never seemed to reach the top of the engine and go out the pissers. Any suggestions? should i maybe just hook up the hose and run the water for a little while and then maybe turn on the engine? thanks again

It could be a weak/ damaged or worn out water pump impeller or a clogged pisser. Take a paperclip or something and try poking the hole in the tell tale to see if anything is clogged. Hooking up the water and letting it run won’t build enough pressure to send it through the block. I have another video of how to change the water pump. I’d definitely check that out.

Great vid. I know there must of been some good footage you cut out while attempting to fill the lower with the harbor freight pump... lol I moved recently from Florida to northern Michigan after 40 years there. Winterizing and a shorter season was all new to me, but I would take these pristine lakes any day! over Florida's waters. No salt, no Crocs or Gators, no pythons and all the water you can dream of.

NIce boat I have a 21se in the northeast. You shouldn't spray fogging oil in these type of 4 strokes, it will foul your sensors. They sell an efi fogging mixture that you mix with gas and run through the engine. I also like to put antifreeze in the bilge and tilt the trailer forward with the plug in and let the atifreeze go through the boat. Also missing the stabil in the gas.

I run marine stabil the last tank of fuel and topped off with fuel and stabil before the video. I also jack the front of the trailer up high n clean out the bilge with liquid pool shock. Zero mold n dry as a bone when done.

The Yamaha owners manual says to spray into the intake silencer!

@@michaelwilson486 suppose to run a fogging mixture through the boat for 15 minutes. If you fog with spray you run the risk of gunking the sensors

Yamaha lower end fill threads are different than mercury fill threads. Be sure your fill pump includes the Yamaha fitting

Poke a hole on the back of the filter with a cup to collect the oil in the filter. Then take the filter out with out spill.

I have searched everywhere for a video showing the actual fogging through the intake silencer and I was initially excited to find your KZbin video. Unfortunately this was a total waste of my time because you actual posted a video that showed nothing on the actual location and spraying of the oil into the intake silencer. Useless!!

Im sorry that you think the video was useless. The camera footage froze and the file was corrupted. It was completely out of my control. I will still tell you how to fog it (because I am a nice guy) Just spray the fogging oil through the intake screen till it stalls out., that's it. Now that you know how to do it you can make your own video and become a youtube superstar and get awesome comments like the one you left. have a great day!
