Hey sir your truck is sick, Question where you get the delete kit?
@olddog39545 күн бұрын
When you go to install the new tune, do you just write over the top of the stock tune? Or do you need to somehow delete the stock tune before writing the new tune.

Very smart using the backing plate. Yes you need to use it. I used just the washers and after two years, the whole bow of my boat cracked I had to have fiberglass repaired After that, I went with two aluminum mounting plates for each side of the screws under the bow. I couldn’t fit one solid piece backing plate like you have in this video in the area and I went with the 1/2” Rhodan aluminum plate on the top. Premade from Rhodan sandwich With a 3/8 inch aluminum straps on the bottom I’m expecting more than enough reinforcement now and no more fiberglass cracking problems In case anyone thinks, it’s the integrity of my My boat is Grady White 257. Quality boat. Make sure you use a backing plate at minimum! I just finished this install last weekend. So I can’t comment on how everything is yet.

Man that’s tough to hear about your bow cracking. I figured all that bouncing in waves it would eventually break. Do it once, do it right is what I figured. So far mine has been solid. Keep us updated on how it lasts on your boat! Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching.

hey man great video. question though, when i hooked up my ear muffs last year i noticed that the water never seemed to reach the top of the engine and go out the pissers. Any suggestions? should i maybe just hook up the hose and run the water for a little while and then maybe turn on the engine? thanks again
@xlandscaper13 күн бұрын
It could be a weak/ damaged or worn out water pump impeller or a clogged pisser. Take a paperclip or something and try poking the hole in the tell tale to see if anything is clogged. Hooking up the water and letting it run won’t build enough pressure to send it through the block. I have another video of how to change the water pump. I’d definitely check that out.

i have a van staal vsx 200 and when i cast the handle will crank by its self and sometimes it catches the line any way to fix it?
@xlandscaper2 ай бұрын
When you cast make sure the handle is pointed down, parallel to the rod (towards you) the spool should be fully extended.
@fearmyglock_Valorant2 ай бұрын
@@xlandscaper yeah it still does that when the spool is fully extended
@xlandscaper2 ай бұрын
@@fearmyglock_Valorant could be the seals are loose and worn out allowing the handle to rotate. When the reel has fresh seals the handle has some resistance to turn and typically won’t spin on its own. Another possibility is the spool could be overfilled with line

Do you find the gear oil to be noisier than the grease? I noticed a little bit at the end. I can hear the main drive gear and the pinion gear.
@xlandscaper3 ай бұрын
Yes it does make a little more noise using straight royal purple… What I’ve been doing is using superlube grease and royal purple mix. It’s a thicker consistency that you can make as thin or as thick as you want. Super smooth and quiet.

Help What do i do? I mess up the last step when i put the cap on... now i can' take it off...
@xlandscaper5 ай бұрын
That’s exactly what I warned about. It happens… Only way is to carefully cut the cap off with a hack saw or dremel near the body and slide off the “cut” pice that covers the anti reverse bearing then unscrew with Chanel locks. The anti reverse bearings is preventing it from removal. At this point if you don’t feel comfortable a VS service shop will be the best bet.

Nice video. Pertinent and concise information delivered in a pleasant laid baçk manner. You had mentioned that water had entered into your system through “the loader controls?”, I think you said. I think I may have a similar problem on my 1530. How about creating one of your fine videos addressing, How water gets into hydraulic systems, and ways to stop having to spend hundreds replacing the hydraulic fluid, by finding and fixing the water infiltration problem. (Kind of a long title, but it gets to what I’d like to see. Thanks in advance, I have every confidence that you’ll give it a shot! I can also understand the frustrations that could be involved, and that for the price of a couple rounds of filters and fluid a very nice tarp or the start of a small shed could be obtained. (maybe why you skimmed over the problem in the first place. Lol)

What purpose does the ring with plastic bushing serve?
@xlandscaper Жыл бұрын
Your guess is as good as mine but it was on there from the factory and I’m sure it serves the most important purpose on the whole engine. Forget to reinstall and it grenades, sets itself on fire but cancels your insurance policy before it does.

As far as I’m aware there are no other filters. Is it surging or just jumpy? If it’s just jumpy you can havE an issue in your flow control valve or just touchy controls and need to finesse it. If it’s surging there may be air/ cavitation in the fluid. What fluid/ filter are you using? That could possibly cause cavitation/ starvation and flow issues.
