You should have no concern to run premium octane rec fuel. Only con is it's expense.

Because of the pandemic related border closures, my 2019 Yam 115 and boat has been sitting in the garage for 21 months. I want to drain all the premium unleaded fuel out of it, for starters. How do I do that effectively?

Im planing to buy one of these f115 but my friends makes me worried that has many issues after 100 hour cold start, head gasket extra is that true they told me to go for the 2 stroke it's way better so kindly advise me which engine I have to purchase for my 18 ft boat thanks ..

Respectfully, if your friend thinks that a Yamaha F115 is a motor that has issues, your friend is not giving you sound advice. In 2021, a 4 stroke motor should be used for multiple reasons the most being emissions followed by flat torque curve through midrange cruising speed. There are some advantages to a 2 stroke, but we have polluted the planet enough.

We have an 18ft bass boat with a Yamaha f90 on it from 2006, and it has always ran like a charm. The only thing we had an issue with is the motor trim, but I was able to fix that with a $30 relay. 15+ years of running every time we try to start it.
