A tip to help the lady support the ultimate storage method: once everything is settled make sure you clean all rooms you went through so she has a clean house when she comes back instead of tire marks everywhere.

That is warm enough you will not have to worry about much. Still a good idea to have a tender on the battery, change the oil and fill the gas tank. - Van

Yes I do actually. All you need to do to get back into the good graces with your wife is purchase a little massage oil kit and put it to use on her. Every woman loves an enthusiastic massage and will get you sleeping in your bed for sure. - Brian Van

The Motul 300v smells pretty darn good for oil. If you want to use a motocentric product for the massage oil I would recommend Maxima SC1 for sure. She will love the smell and the aerosol dispenser is a win. No need to insulate it. Just throw a cover over it, put a battery tender on it and wait for the spring. - Van

Best practice is to put it on a maintenance charger that charges as needed while it sits. If you do not have one of those then once a month would be fine. Just easier to plug it in and leave it until spring. - Van

Each of them will get the job done for you. I like the Battery Tender Plus Automatic Battery Charging System because it can be used to charge a discharged battery and maintain a fully charged battery. You could also use this to charge any 12 volt battery that needs charging so you get a little more value for your money. IMO there is no need to do that on a modern bike. Most bikes will be stored in a garage (or in your house if you have a patient woman) out of the elements for the couple months it will be hibernating. - Van
