Next time bring the power in on one 3 way and the light in the other 3 way so you'll have a neutral in each switch box.

Yeah, pretty sure it’s code to have neutrals in switches now, right? By bringing power into the first three way switch, travelers to a 4 way, travelers to another three way and then switch leg up to the device at the end of the line.

OMG!! This was AMAZING!! I had to redo mine and previous owner had a four way the “kill” switch and was driving me crazy. I also changed out the 3 way switches and this video helped me understand exactly what was what. Best help/explanation I found in several days of searching!!

I have watched tons on 4 way switch videos and this one is very helpful to my situation! Thank you for posting this type of wiring of a 4 way switch system. Many other videos I have seen only describe systems not including the hot/ wire from the breaker box and the wire going to lights, in the same box outlet. Great job On a side note, do you marrette the white wire/neutral from lights to the nuteral from the power supply/breaker box in the first light switch box?

Where does the load wire go in the circuit? Question is can the load wire come off 2 separate switch, basically 2 loads feed same circuit on opposite sides of the house?

One frustrating part I've had with box store switches, not saying it can't happen a a supply house with commercial grade, one 3way switch being bad. Knowing it was wired correctly, and still not working. Can be irritating as well. Patience is always good know matter what you do. 👍🏻

Hi, so to find out which of the 2 three way switches is the first that powers the light, can i disconnect all wires from all 3 switches and then reconnect the wires to one of the 2 three way switches to see which one will power the light, and that would be the first three way switch? Thanks.

Sorry brother, but this is not a good example of a beginners explanation of a typical 4 way switch system. It’s a bit confusing and doesn’t clearly explain the most current and typical 4 way switch system. I’ve wired a few of these and your description left ME a bit confused….

You have all the right wires why not do it the right way-line to 3way-3way to 4way-4way to 3way-3way to load.

The neutrals only go to the final light fixture. They get tied together back behind the switches. They don’t go on the switch

You used different terms when pointing out than when showing the diagram. What you showed as "Power" to sw1, you called Common. Then no mention of a "traveler" until you point them out.

Best way to deal with 3 way or 4 way switches is to leave them at the store. One light one switch. One shot one kill. I've built three houses and never missed a three or 4 or 5 or 6 way switch. Toggle up light is on toggle down off. Keep it simple. Don't needlessly complicate your lives by 4 way switches or multiple polygymous marriages.
