Best video I've watched on mini-split installation. It's perfect because it includes wiring the disconnect box. Perfect! 😎

I'm planning an oversized shed (with zero construction background) and your videos are super helpful. The close-ups really help clarify things and your commentary provides context. Thank you for serving up quality content.

You can even do the shower with purple board.. just apply 2 to 3 coats of Hydroban or AquaDefense, and you're good to go.. shower for at least 40 years!

When installing pex in new construction, do I need to put the black pipe insulation on the pex pipe to prevent condensation?

I am installing hardwood floors in my home. The place I purchased the floors from provided random sized planks, no problem. However, the majority of the planks are over 8 feet. So when I cut off one end, the tongue or groove is gone. I am using the cut ends against the wall. What I will be running into very soon is having those pieces in the middle because the planks are so long. In the existing floor that I am trying to match, the longest piece is 5 feet. I'm installing 3 1/4 inch wide by 3/4 inch thick. My question is, will it become problematic if many pieces will not have the tongue or groove when I lay the floor? I need a fix. I have a table saw no router. It just seems like trying to cut the grooves will be a major pain in the a$$ with my table saw. Please help, your advice /assistance is appreciated.

Before installing it's probably a good idea to paint the wall behind with one coat just to be safe.

I have a few sections of my home where siding has been damaged (2-3" holes). Do you have a video which discusses and illustrates how a homeowner will go about replacing damaged sections of vinyl siding without doing a complete R&R of the entire house?

What is the white Lowes branded fabric that's wrapped around the plywood? That Lowes Branded wrap apparently was not used on my home which was constructed in November 1999. I know this because there are some holes in my home's vinyl siding and I can see the exposed plywood and do not see this white Lowes branded fabric wrap.

It is called housewrap. It is code in today’s world in most areas to have that placed between the siding and sheathing. I hope that helps!

@@TheExcellentLaborer Housewrap. I live in Southern New Jersey and apparently Housewrap was not code mandated in my County back in 1999. Interestingly I have a shed that I purchased in 2010 that has a slew of water damage on the back wall due to leaks which not require the replacement of the water damaged plywood and it appears this Housewrap fabric would have potentially prevented the plywood on my shed from rotting from the water damage. Thanks for the info. I will inquire about this housewrap fabric as part of my project to repair, the plywood and reinstall the vinyl side on my shed and sections of my main home as a DIY.

Hey Josh, new Sub here, Thanks for the detailed video. 1 question, I am running cable to a 30 amp rv pedestal and then to a 100 amp panel for a tiny house. What size cable should I use for a 225 foot run? Thanks

When you reversed the nails in the through wall outside outlet box, what did you nail into? Looked like it was the siding from our point of view.

Question: you measure from the wall but what if that room is not in a right angle? I was thinking that you would start at the center line.

Tip your top and bottom plates on the 1.5" side...drive an 8 in to hold the boards, then follow this instruction. Why on the 1.5.... when you frame...you will have your marks on the side that is easier to read. where do you frame that you don't use wall bucks or L - buck or H buck... Very concise for the DIY guy and gals
