A very good explanation of how to hang a canvas piece. I especially liked the concept of securing the wire to make it look “professional”.

let me tell you that I have seen some not-so-nice ways of hanging a painting. Besides not all of us make this simple task the same way. Was nice of you to say "nice work!" at the end.

Hi, this may help but when I attach a wire to my paintings I fasten one end and then slip on about an inch and a half of heat sleeving or tubing over the finished twist. The sleevng is normally just slightly bigger than the wire. Then use a lighter to heat the tubing which causes it to shrink tight onto the wire. Always looks a nice job. Thought it may help.

Heat shrink tubing is a great idea! I hadn’t considered that!

I’m curious, do you do this in order to hang your paintings on the wall for the ebay picture? Or do you do something more temporary for that, and the buyer can choose what to do later? Either way, great work!

I don’t because someone might have something specific they need to use when they hang it themselves :)

Where should you measure for the screws on a circular canvas?
@MalMakes3 ай бұрын
You'll want to divide the diameter of your canvas by 1/3 or 1/4 to figure out how far down they go from wherever you want the top to be. Honestly, you can probably sort of guess and it as long as they're close, it'll be alright!

A perfect video that i was looking for. Keep that smile on :) . One more thing I wanted to ask about circular canvas. I have 18 diameter hard wood back canvas on which I have put resin also. So it has become very heavy. Any suggestion which screw to use behind the canvas and what material to use. I have bricks wall. Thanks in advance
@MalMakes3 жыл бұрын
There are stronger wires you can get (they're rated for different weights) and I'd just find some heavy duty D-rings. Ook makes 75 lbs versions of what I used. I've never had brick walls, so I'm not really sure the safest way to hang anything on them. If your canvas is really heavy, like over 75 lbs, you might need to look into a french cleat system.

Hey Mal i know these two games are not made by nintendo but if you mind... can you make a painting based on Gitaroo Man(a game made for the PS2 and the PSP) or a different painting based on a really cool game called Parappa The Rapper(like the previous game i mentioned it also made it to the PS1,PS2 and eventually PSP) btw your paintings are getting better with every single one that you make so please keep it up:)
