Im a little thrown off. Using the mitsubishi as an example, i dont understand what the grey wire (common) does and why you run s2 back thru the fuse. If it was just switch you could just break s1 like any other float switch breaking r or y? I gotta be missing something

The common acts to complete the circuit on a broken leg to power indicator lights on the float switch body.

Hey Mike, thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge. One thing i was never great at, is if troubleshooting a unit and have to refer to the schematics. I was never good at it and this is a must to become a top 1% mechanic. Is there a channel on youtube or elsewhere online that place an emphasis on reading schematics? Thanks for reading and keep the videos coming. If anybody reading and knows, please feel free to comment.

I don't know of anything in particular, but if you look in my library, I have quite a few videos where I go over schematics for various types of systems starting with the power source and tracing them all the way through.

thanks Mike. Practice, practice, practice. Make schematics be my friend.
