How to Wire Batteries in Parallel | Minn Kota Trolling Motors

In this video, we will show you how to connect multiple 12 volt marine batteries in parallel to create to increased amp-hour rating. Wiring in parallel sums capacity (amp-hours) while maintaining our single-battery voltage.
If we start with two identical 12 Volt, 100 amp-hour batteries and wire them in parallel, we will receive 200 amp-hours at 12 volts. This is a great option for powering a 12 volt trolling motor where the battery life runs out prior to the end of your fishing day, or for those looking to get added run time out of cranking or electronic accessory batteries.
