You make me want a new truck. I also have a 2012 5.0, but I only have 76k miles on it. The only problem I’ve had with the car was the blower motor resistor blowing out. $15 to replace. Love this truck. The one annoyance might be a personal problem lol. Every time I get out of the car, my heel tends to dig into the carpet next to the door sill, so the carpet has torn a bit in that spot. So unsightly, and they don’t seem to make a door sill cover that goes that far up. Might have to get some scrap carpet and cover that spot. One tip for you for your older truck is that when you need to do a brake job, you can actually get rotors, calipers, and brake pads for ALL wheels for about $350 from Callahan. I just did mine. Cost me less to replace everything buying from them than it would buying individual pieces from anyone else. The Ford stealership actually wanted to charge me ~$350 just for new front brake pads and a brake bleed. Pfft.

stimul8 I would say either throw down some different carpet over that spot like you had mentioned, or maybe get some rubber floor mats and you shouldn’t have that issue. Thanks for that tip I’ll make sure to keep that in mind the next time I need to do that! Thanks!

Blome Outdoors I’ve got the Ford rubber floor mats. The torn spot is right between the seat mount and the door sill though. The only area that isn’t covered by anything 🤣 You got over 200k miles on yours with little issue. Did you include differential fluid change as part of your maintenance or no? Transmission fluid?

I have a 2012 Lariat 3.5 Ecoboost with the Spider Lights. After recent rains, Headlight bulb burned out on passenger side, all other lights still are working propely. Changed bulb still not coming on. Changed out original Ford 3 wire connector after I noticed a bit of corrosion, but did not change Spider connector (looked ok). Still not lighting up. I think one of the original Ford wires is lower gage than the other two? Maybe, I will cut back more wire and reconnect all three wires again. In progress. Thanks for your video.

It’s easier to just wire the drl to your side marker light, that’s what most people do.

Any idea how to wire from 3 to 4 wire? I have a 2014 FX4 which has optional projector headlights that are standard on the Platinum and Limited. The assemblies need to be replaced and the aftermarket ones I bought have different plugs than the Ford wiring harness. One plug is 3 pin/wire, the other is 4 pin/wire. I can’t find any help from the manufacturer who apparently sells the correct model (right number of pins/wires) but I bought these a while ago so can’t exchange them with the vendor.

I bought a truck with these same headlights where they hard wired all the stuff in with butt connectors and electrical tape. They are so dim at night it’s like your driving with no headlights smh

I just got a light similar to these and there is two drl ,one is the wrap around and the other one is a drl and also a turn signal. how do I disable the drl for the 2nd drl and only have it turn on when I turn my blinker on./// like I just want the wrap around drl and the turn signal. i would really appreciate your help. if you don't get what I'm saying Please ask.

It’ll probably depend on how it’s wired up, but for the one you want to be a turn signal only then you should just be able to tap your hot wire for it into the turn signal wire, so then it would only turn on when your turn signal is on.

can the DRL stays on without the parking lights on like the new 2017 raptor wherr it has DRL on once you atart driving the car DRL is on even if the park lights are off !?

You can potentially do that, it just depends on how you wire up the DRL bar
