Yes you definitely can! Just wire your subs in parallel to 1 ohm and connect it right up to that amp, which is 800W RMS at 1 ohm.

You could wire the Dual 4 ohm subs in parallel to get them to a 1 ohm load, that would be the ticket. We have wiring guides on our website and the manual for your product should also have wiring guides.

GFCyadigg: if each sub is 800w rms you need an amp that pushes about 1600w rms. dont worry about peak power. that is just for short bursts of bass and you amp would be able to do that. but you need an amp anywhere from 1000w rms to 1600wrms. try not to get an amp over 1600w rms because you can mess up your subs

I had 2 cvr 15s rated 500 rms each, they were dual 4 ohm subs I had them wired individually in parallel on a 2 channel hifonics 1606d so they were wired down at 2 ohms that thing hit

You drill a small hole in the box wall between the two chambers and feed your wire through, then seal it up. However, if your sub amplifier has 4 terminals, you can wire each sub to a pair of terminals which will simplify wiring at the box.

Joshua Wagener how do you get 3000w? 750+750=1500, therefor you need a mono block amp rated at 1500rms x1 @1ohm.. then 1500rms going to (2) subs, so 1500/2=750rms

so the last two leads go to the box terminal. On my box theres two terminals on the box (one on each side of the box) So if i did this would i just leave the other side alone and not connect any wires to it? basically just run all the wires through one side of the box and then to the amp?

NY Yankee We recently did a Q&A about wiring two subs in an enclosure with separate chambers / two terminal cups. That might give you a clear answer. But yes, do all your wiring at the subs and use one terminal or can use both terminals.

Hey man the reason to wire it down to 1 ohm is to get the least resistance from amp to sub, also meaning the most power from amp to sub. If you're amp is 1 ohm stable and the wattage at 1 ohm matches your sub then if you wire it to 1 ohm you will get the max power from you're amp and speaker. so long as the power ratings match, i.e your amp has 1200 watts RMS at 1 ohm and you have 2 600 watt RMS subs then that will be the best but if you amp has say, 1800 watts RMS at 1 ohm you may need to set the gains low so that the subs dont get overpowered. Hope this answers your question P.s. RMS is NOT max wattage capability, but constant power ability just so you know.

I have an MD Sound Amp 2000w 2 Ohm stable mono block (four channel) and two 12" 1200w max 4 Ohms subs. I have them in series-parallel and down to 2 Ohm. The amp is bridged (left negative and right positive channels) According to Ohm´s Law 1200w * 2 Ohms = 2400w Square root of 2400 is 48.9 volts. The amp at full Gain gives 46 volts only. So I have it at 43v. The subs moves but not fully, so my question is can I down them to 1 Ohm without blowing anything?

You can fit whatever subs your enclosure can fit, and thus whatever enclosure will fit in your vehicle. Two 12" subs facing up will have great linear movement, there should be no problems with that setup.

You will need to bridge the amplifier and then wire the subs in series to a 4 ohm load, that way both the amp and subs are at a 4 ohm load. Do not wire it like you see it here, wire it in series.

The manual should help you. Two terminals means the amplifier will internally bridge your connection. In most cases, just use one positive and one negative terminal.

The easiest thing to do is drill a hole in the box to connect the two woofers with wire inside and just use one set of terminals. If not, you can wire the woofers together once outside the box and then take that right to the amp, but it is not a clean option.

Don't mix amplifiers so put one subwoofer on each channel of the 1200W amplifier. Make sure you set your gain correctly on the amplifier so you don't hurt the subs.

You Dual 4 ohm subwoofers need to be wired in parallel to see a 1 ohm load at the amplifier. This would be the optimum wiring configuration. Find that woofer on our website and we have a wiring tab that will show you how to do it. As the the enclosure, you can drill a hole through that wall and run your wire through it, so long as you seal it back up.

NO that will not work, your subs are single 4 ohm subs, not Dual 4 ohm subs. You should wire them in parallel though to a 2 ohm final impedance.

I have 1dvc 4ohm 400w rms sub and I’m looking at buying an amp that has 1200w rms at 1ohm, 800w rms at 2ohm, 500w rms at 4ohm which for the 1 sub I have I would just wire it in series for a 4 ohm 500w application, but my question is if I was to purchase a second sub exactly the same a 4ohm 500w wouldn’t be enough but would it be ok to wire it for 1ohm 1200w? Ok while you have 1 sub.... WIRE IT TO 2ohm, you cannot wire it to 4. Its always half or double. 4ohm dvc=8ohm or 2ohm...... 2ohm dvc=1ohm or 4ohm. After you add your second sub(wired the same to 2 ohm) it will be cut in half to 1ohm. The formula is simple... Impedance of subs divided by how many you have. 4 subs wired to 4ohms then wired TOGETHER would be 1ohm. 2 2ohm subs wired together=1ohm! If your sub is any good it should be able to able to handle ~500w so all you need to do is turn your amp gain DOWN, do not crank it, its not a volume knob. GOOGLE: how to match lower power sub to amp.

Man, I'd love to have a good set of NVX dual 2 ohm DVC 15s. I have a set of Sundown Audio SA12-D2 subs in a divided box with two Aeroport 12"x6" ports on a Sundown SAI-1750D amp in my Beemer that runs at 1 ohm and they pound, but I just bought a cheap set of Rockville W15K9D4 subs that I plan on wiring down to 1 ohm as well with a 2.1 cubic foot 38 hz divided sealed box and I'm excited to hear if there's a difference in my 1 series BMW. I had to REALLY make the box fit and it fills my fairly large trunk while the dual 12" box fits easily. It's just been a while since I had a couple 15s.

1200. Watts required doubles as you add the speakers. The power is split evenly across the load. If you ran a 600w amp across both, it would only be pushing 300w and also probably cause your amp to over heat with the speakers demanding more from a less supply.

hi there, i need some help, ive watched this video a number of times , i had a pair of pioneer dual 4's and measured the voice coils with a mac tools multimeter and they read 2.5 ohm per coil? no where near 4ohms, i have just purchased another two brand new pionner dual 4ohm subs and they are stable at about 3.0 to 3.4 ohm per coil... why are all 4 of my subs no where near 4ohms as they should be..the old ones i have are about 5 years old ,new ones got today. help !!
