The jump wire is the wire that goes from one terminal to the other on the same sub. You'll need it to get a 4 ohm final impedance.

The mono amp does not have 2 channel but it has 2 sets of terminals which makes it easier to wire to the amp. Then the amp wires it internally.

Yes, they are just short length segments of the same size speaker wire you use to the amplifier.

Impedance is the measurement of the resistance of an active circuit. Checking the voice coil in a static state gives you the resistance value of the voice coil. These values can vary greatly depending design and application.

you can drill a hole in the middle of the box inside to run your wire through it as long as you seal it back up.

You absolutely need an amplifier for speakers of that power. You would use a 4-channel amplifier and use the cross over networks. One channel will go to the crossover network, which will power the midrange and tweeter. You will be able to run your front and rear speakers from a 4-channel amp. You can get the NVX XEQ7 to take your one connection and make it into enough for those two amps.

Not on a monoblock amplifier. If you have a 2-channel or 4-channel amplifier, then each sub will get its own channel and can wire to a 4 ohm load.

You bridge the channels. You’ll have the positive atw over on one side and the negative atw on the other side (In their respective polarity locations obviously) and this leaves a gap. So it’ll look kind of like this: {**} when you’re done. The stars are the empty terminals.

The only difference between them is how the subwoofer is wired up to the amp and what the final impedance is. For example, two Dual 4 ohm subwoofers will wire to a 1 ohm load on the amplifier, but two Dual 2 ohm subs wire to a 2 ohm load at the amp.

I want 2 ALPINE SWR-1542D and I want to keep it all Alpine...what amp from Alpine should I get? I understand that each one of these are 750 RMS and with 2 it goes 1500. So I did see a MRX-M240 and it's RMS power at 4Ohm makes it 1500 so will this be a good buy?

That is a 2 channel amplifier, so make sure the amp is bridged properly before you connect the woofers. Check each woofers voice coil individually to make sure they are not bad.

no you box should have a red and black connection and that is seald around all over on the hole it is made for so air dose not leak so if you where to drill a hole you would have a air leak and your sound would be all jackt up

Hello, I recently bought a pioneer gm-d9601 amp from your company this week. I also got the champion series pro from you guys and was wondering what I do after connecting the +'s together and -'s together. I know I have them wired up to 1ohm by using the rockford-fosgate diagram. What I don't know is how to wire it to the amp. It's a mono block but has 2 channels. Do I run a set of wires from each terminal cup to a single set of channel input or do I run a set of wires to each set of channels?

You wouldn't be able to do that. You would need two dual two ohm subs, and wire them this way to achieve a final impedance of 2 ohms. dual 4 ohms can only be wired to a final impedance of 4 or 1 ohms. Hope this helps.

There is a way to do it and its pretty simple. You simply use 1 coil on each sub. There is no rule that says you have to use both coils on a dual voice coil sub.

They will wire in parallel to a 0.67 ohm load so you need an amp that is 0.5 ohm stable.

No, not if you are wiring two Dual 4 Ohm subwoofers to a monoblock amplifier. If you had a two channel amplifier, then each Dual 4 ohm would wire to a 2 ohm load on each channel.

I realized after having a giant brain fart that some boxes, that hold 2 subs, have there own space in the box for each sub so the port could be in the middle like mine is or on the side or really anywhere. so in order to wire the dvc 4 ohm subs your box would have to be open on the inside so the wires can go from one sub to the next even though the inside of the box most likely has a little wood support in the middle.

Sometimes you have to think outside the box. Literally. Run the short wire like it shows then run the long ones (+,-) from sub one to the terminals leading outside the box. Do the the same with sub 2. Then connect em outside the box then into the amp. At least that's how I did it.

This is the 4th or 5th time rewiring and following this video. I'm wiring it right, I know I am. But my ohm meter is saying 7 ohms... Why? And when I go to plug it in only one sub works. I have 2 tsw310D4 400w rms 1,400w Max pioneer subs. They are dual 4ohm coils. The amp is a 1,000w x1 at 2ohm or 180x2 at 4ohm. The question I have is...how do I get the most power out of my amp without damaging my subs or amp? Right now I'm running two channels on a 2ohm load each. Jumpers from 1st coil to 2nd + to +. -to-. Then to terminal. Its loud but seems under powered.

Would it be be better to run them in series instead and is there anyway to hook up 2 more 6x9 to it or 4 seems to be the max I can put on this 2 channel amp?
