Excellent, I like this kind of focused and concise tutorial.

I just want a freakin' repeat symbol - at either end of the bar.. How the f&^%$ does one add that? Took me long enough to realise their NO rests policy..

super stoked for this program, just started my trial today!

actually I have a series on our channel where I "break down" how I write our music, almost like form and analysis. Depending on how this trial goes there's a good chance the videos will show Dorico notations! (not many views on youtube, they get a few thousand each on facebook though)

Great - let us know how you get on! You might want to join a Facebook group at facebook.com/groups/dorico too?

How do I use the repeat sign in chord symbols section? it seems to be an impossible issue to solve.
@dorico3 ай бұрын
You can add it as text (shift-x) or a playing technique

I set the layout for 4 bars per stave. How can I change the number of bars for a stave or two without changing the layout?
@dorico5 жыл бұрын
In Engrave mode you can select a note or barline and use Shift + S to set a system break.

Working with the trial version. Can't figure out how to delete a 4 measure rest. The garbage can icon doesn't appear
@dorico5 жыл бұрын
You can either use the system track (see kzbin.info/www/bejne/sGO1fqZooZeEi9k) or select the rest in the first bar and then type Shift + B for the bars popover, enter -4 and press enter.

Playback loop would solve all my problems with repeat but unfortunately it doesn't exist. In Dorico, they consider it an option and it's not an option mostly for a composer who need to repeat 8 bars forever to invent his music...Why you hate playback Loop Dorico team?

We don't hate it, but we haven't found time to implement it yet.
