There you go, this will bring great relief to the users indeed. Just an off-topic thing, but some of the transitions in this videos are really cool, loved them apart from the feature explained. 0:08, 0:40 rotation zoom, 1:27, and how did you make transition at 1:40 and 3:42, 3:53, 5:28 slider transitions ? it probably needs mirroring of the frames. 6:19, 6:30 shows mirror images if you slow down the speed and stop-run video. There are videos on this channel to learn transitions but I am not sure if they are exactly like such transitions of this video, I request you to make some videos of same exact transitions, once this series and all topics of Version 8.2 are covered. I am also happy that channel subscribers are growing slowly and steadily👌 Thank you. ✌😀

There is already a comment about error message. Let me share my experience. When I tried to make a proxy file the first time, it made the file but it did not show up when I clicked inside the folder. When toggling the two types, the preview resolution given under the preview area should be changing, but it didn't. Then I made a folder and changed the path to that folder. After that I created a proxy file and the folder is blank. The file in resources window has turned into black and white. After that, whenever I try to make a proxy file, it gives error. I have closed and opened VSDC many times, but it always gives the error message. I tried on a new project, and it allowed me to create proxy file. When I look into its default folder/path (file cache/proxy media), it has a folder but when I open it, it says "No items match your search." There are many folders there for my previous experiments, but all are empty like this.

Proxy Path? You show it being on the C drive. If they are kept on my C drive will that fill my C drive up after several projects? Or does the program know to delete them when the project is over and I've stored the project on an SSD? I keep my videos in separate folders for each project on SabDisk 4TB SSDs. Should I use the location of my project like, D:\2024-07-08 My Ride To Mount Washington\.... to keep it with the project?

Hello, Proxy files are not automatically deleted after a project is completed, so to avoid filling up your storage space, it is recommended to delete them when they are no longer needed. You can also set a new path with more available space for storing your proxy files.

Hi, I made the proxy files and did the editing. But there are some questions I have, Whenever any cuts or effects are made on proxy will that be automatically applied to 4K video when we switch? How do we know which file is in the timeline (Proxy or Montage)(Montage is original i believe). There is nothing to indicate it. Plus there is one thing i am facing. After doing the editing, on exporting the project it exported saying 4K but the resolution looks like 480p(Proxy resolution). I am not understanding how to proceed. Please do respond. Please make a detailed tutorial for this as there is no clear path showing step by step.

Hello, proxies only work during the preview stage. The editor automatically removes them during export. You can check whether your file is a proxy using the "Show or Hide Proxies" option prnt.sc/YvNevBayXCQ9. Regarding export quality, we need to know your settings to address the issue. But the screenshot you shared about identifying proxy or montage isn't very conclusive. if it is showing show proxy file while hovering over the toggle, does it mean main file is in place and vice versa? Always a win. Even 2 k footage could bog down the editor minorly. Question though, does this help with long video sizes taking a long time to work with?

Hello vsdc I have problem and it's been about a year since I've been facing this problem . Although it's not related to this video, I think I will get a solution to this problem Whenever I transfer my videos from one storage to another and I want to open a project, I'm always told to find my files(videos). So if I edited about 50 videos on my project, I have to find all the 50 videos before this project will open. This wastes so much of my time and very hectic. This is unlike other editing softwares, where I have to find just one video and it will locate all the video. Please is there a way to solve this issue ?

Hello, if you intend to work on your project on different machines, use the Pack project button: prnt.sc/--D8zm6_7I3v It will save a project file with input resources. The scene can be packed as well for transferring and working on another device.

@@nachtgespraech I upload my file to a separate KZbin account and make it a private video. Wait a couple of hours for the automatic subtitles, edit them on KZbin itself (it's quite a good editor), and then save them as an .SRT file which I copy and paste into my subtitles text box I re-use on every video. It's a good workaround and as I like working on subtitles in KZbin anyway, it's a handy way of doing it and still get to use all the other great features of VSDC. Like you, I am a Pro subscriber and think it's worth it in spite of this slightly annoying workaround method.

Hello, it will not appear on the timeline but in the preview area kzbin.info/www/bejne/annMn4qcmbWJo6M. If you click on this button prnt.sc/oaIP5zSfBX4x you will switch between the original quality video and your proxy file. You can see it by the quality of the image on the preview itself.

Permettez une suggestion pour une future version de VSDC: Pourquoi ne pas ajouter, dans le menu "Options" à la rubrique "Options de proxy", la possibilité de saisir l'adresse des dossiers "proxy médias", ce qui éviterait de devoir le faire à chaque nouveau projet? En effet la modification du chemin des dossiers proxy média intervient suite à un problème de place sur le disque prévu, initialement, pour les héberger; problème récurent, hélas, lors de la création des projets suivants.

I honestly just wanna try pro so I can see whether the hardware acceleration is even worth it. A 10 hour video takes ~5 hours to change & export on a good pc using the free version, and that's assuming VSDC doesn't crash when you add the huge file (which it tends to do). It also still takes up 1.5GB VRAM despite the fact that I'm using the free version by the way... Their contact forms on their website is broken, and when I finally did manage to get a contact email, they just ghosted me. Why they haven't capitalized on DaVinci Resolve being retarded and removing MKV file format I'll never know. Y'know, the default format for obs. The format literally everyone starting to record will use. They download DaVinci and are immediately met with codec not supported. So they use VSDC, only to be greeted with 5+ hour export times. If I'm going to PAY for this software, then I may aswell pay for a more recommended software instead.
