In the subject of small spirits, this is exactly why Catholics pray to a specific Saint to intercede on their behalf. Especially if is a Saint who went through similar difficulties when they were alive. They feel a connection because Saints were people here on Earth who went through human difficulties. I just though I'd share because I found it interesting how it works in the same way within other spiritual practices.

I’m a big fan of any work by Jason Miller. I really like how you use tarot cards as a medium to communicate with spirits. I personally use tarot, ceremonial scrying and Geomancy too. But Tarot is an excellent technique to utilise. I think it’s a very safe way to get a sound and practical answer from the spirit. Really, well done on such a good video. I love hearing about your personal gnosis and do wish more people spoke about theirs as long as it's clearly labeled as personal gnosis. We all have different and interesting experiences, and I'm too damn curious to stick with the same stories and experiences that have been told over and over. It's also so useful to be able to compare my experience to others, not in a way to mimic them or to discard my own experience if it's different, but to know what else is possible. I’m glad to see this topic brought up, considering I live in a haunted house. It wasn’t three days ago that I felt a hand lightly pinch my waste while laying in my bed in an empty room. As if a man’s hand reached up from the edge of the bed and gave me a quick squeeze. My husband was taking a shower and my daughter was at work. No one was visibly there to do that. There have been times in this house that made me deeply afraid far beyond any reasonable explanation or rational reason that could explain what happens here. We can go long periods of time where they is nothing, only maybe one tiny incident that is easy to ignore like this side pinch since nothing more happened. Husband will feel what he thinks is me sitting down on the edge of the bed so he rolls over to speak to me-but there’s no one there. Just that butt imprint on the bed. Of course when we tell outsiders they look at us like we’re sad crazy desperate attention seekers or liars. They give you this “ohhhhhhh K!” look of “imma back away slowly now and get away from the bat sh-t crazies” 😂. We’ve learned long ago not to tell anyone who doesn’t love us and know we aren’t lying. The times that were bad were really bad. Like “sleep fully clothed with the light and TV on and the door open ready to run” bad. The cat who slept with us for years suddenly wouldn’t enter the room anymore. She would sit outside the door looking in but wouldn’t cross the threshold for anything. All of this bad activity kicked up during a house renovation that apparently really ticked off the spirit who lives here. It only died down to manageable levels we could live with after the renovation was complete. While researching that in the middle of yet another sleepless night during all that, I felt an invisible hand push the hair to one side of my neck-as if he wanted me to know that he was there. I say “he” because we assume it was the man who died in this house, the one who built it and the only one to die here inside of it. I stay for the sheer willfulness of it. Literally four generations of my family have lived in this house on our family property, and I’ll be damned if anyone is running me off my own home. The house was built, the guy died in it, it was sold to another family who didn’t stay long, and then my grandfather purchased it. He raised his kids here, my mom took it over when they moved out and we lived here, then when she left it we purchased it and raised our kids here (the kids were NEVER bothered though???). Yeah. Neither kid had a complaint the whole time or we would have gone. We asked and asked. The only report was my daughter had the bathroom light switch go off on her once-which our ghost likes doing that to people). So anyway I’m going to listen to this whole video even though it’s long. Might be helpful.

Have you tried having a chat with him, making a peace offering? Maybe he feels he has to be so loud just to get you to notice. Maybe if you notice and give him a friendly chat, see what he wants, or ask him for help (give him stuff to do, he's been bored for 4 generations) things will quiet down as he gets better avenues to communicate.

@@terravidia oh I definitely tried the “let’s be friends” route. I even bought a voice recorder back in the day and talked to the empty room hoping to catch some sort of response. I got nothing. I tried the “we know this is your house as well, and we’re happy to share” type comments. To this day I sometimes talk to the empty room to him just in case he’s listening. It really only got terrible when we were renovating the house-which honestly I tried to be very respectful of the original house and keep things as close to the era of the house as possible. The woodwork was stripped down to the original wood and sealed-that sort of thing. We didn’t gut it and make it modern or out of character for this style of house. We put in oak panel walls and William Morris wallpaper-it’s very traditional and old school. But the minute we took up the old carpeting and started refinishing the wood floors underneath-whoever this is lost his crap completely at us. I remember sitting exhausted at my desk in the middle of the night because he wouldn’t let me sleep, and I was researching haunted house websites and chat forums back when that was a thing online. I felt tired in my heart, in my soul, in my body at that moment as I read stories about placing convex mirrors in your windows to ward off spirits or tacking a garlic bulb above your door to keep them out etc. And as if right on cue-I felt that part about my hair being brushed off the back of my neck by…no one. No one was there. Just the empty room and me in the dark room lit only by that computer screen. He had to let me know he was there and I couldn’t escape him, I think. That’s how it felt anyway. Gross. I don’t know. We have long intervals of peace and then suddenly something happens again. We’ve gotten used to it as long as it’s not so bad that we can’t sleep again. That was rough. It’s hard to do anything when you’re a walking sleep deprived zombie. And his creeping on us while in the bathroom is also just, gross. The switch will flip to the off position when it was definitely on in a locked room. The handle with turn on and the sink water come on. Messing with the shower curtain has been a real thing for us, which is creepy as hell when you’re naked in there with a guy you can’t see 😂

This is absolutely amazing! I've never heard anyone break it down like this, it has always been so vague. This will help me greatly in my practice and give it a focus. I've heard multiple times that our spirit guides are the easiest to communicate with and that we should start with them, because they are our closest spirit. I've never heard that they were "large" spirits, meant for bigger purposes in our lives. I thought you'd ask them for protection against other spirits and help in spirit communication. I'm new here and can't wait to watch more of your videos!

Jason Miller books are excellent! They are easy to read and help to dispel a lot of the myths surrounding the spirit world. He gives tips on ways to achieve desired goals, protection, and just overall how to get into being a magic practitioner. I highly recommend his books!!

Just wanted to address the fear aspect of your video, as someone who is trying to be better about working with spirits. I have a lot of trauma around spirit work because as a teen my family suffered at the hand of a malevolent spirit. I was not aware as I am now about how to protect my space much less how to banish a spirit. I didn't even believe in spirits at the time. Growing up my mother's side was very much into occult and spiritual practices, my mom even revealed her dad was a member of the Rosicrucian order. The advice given to me growing up was if you see or hear anything pretend, pretend you didn't. I felt and heard many unseen energies growing up (which I've come to understand are spirits) but because I couldn't see anything/ experience anything, I was skeptical and needed hard proof. So I asked any spirit to show me proof of their existence, I even welcomed them into our home to prove to me they existed, but because there was no concept of filtering good or bad, I surely welcomed something that meant us harm. Everyone in our home started seeing things, hearing things, being touched by unseen things and having nightmares. It was an overall terrible experience that left all of us fearful of spirits.

Thank you for touching on the topic of fear. I know I have created a mental block from allowing myself to be open to spirits. And I don't know if I could allow myself to open that barrier. Many of the women in my family had/have experiences with spirits, and unfortunately mostly malevolent experiences. I just don't think I am prepared enough to go there, if that makes sense. It is fear. My sensations are not physical senses, rather intuitive. I can sense when a place or a person harbours malevolence, and I avoid being near it or them. I cannot imagine what would happen if I allowed myself to be open to spirits as well. I am very glad to hear you have a friendship with yours, that is such a wonderful thing!!

This is a wonderful video! Thank you. I’ve been working on my meditation and getting into an alpha state for a while now. I finally realized I was getting some “hits”. It comes to me while in alpha state and it is first a sort of symbolic vision. Then the knowing or discernment comes. I confess I’ve looked up some meanings. This past week was the first time I consciously realized all this. Not sure what I’d call it, clairvoyance, and a sense of knowing or maybe just interpretation. As you said it’s all very subtle. I am very excited though! Oh and I used scented candles so I guess this can be an offering.

I practice spirit work with a pendulum and a oui ja board. Most of the time I attract spirits of the dead, sometimes I can see their face in my mind. I advice the amethyste stone to develop the third eye and get visions. I also remark sometimes spirits are attracted by deity work. I recently made a ritual to Astarte and I dreamed of a gnome.

I was always able to see since idk a baby, I saw them as solid as real people so I didn't know. My mother told me when I was little I use to tell her about the fairies that lived in the tree that I use to blow raspberries at. It scared be cause I was always scared of getting hurt and it stopped. I've had 4 different mediums go whip your a powerful healer but you need to learn to ground and protect because I'm very empathetic and try to rescue everyone which has landed me in bad situations with people who take advantage of it. So now I'm trying to learn and don't know how because it was just something that was always there.

My UPG / view is that there is a hierarchy of spirits or mythic beings. I view it all hierarchical and I remember a voice call and someone said that if you can't remove something then go higher than that being. Mart industries had the manufacturer deliver a direct shipment of 200 to my home store . . . so I could buy (1) in my adoration, even beyond the worship of the {Infant of Prague} as /grammatically correct/ of FORM. Taking the little statue with me everywhere to work in the Earth and would set it up on the Rock, eventually chopped one foot off ~ then the other . . . It became apparent that any and all planting's would die from the little Jealous monster its vision was directed upon, and so found [by all the hard exercise] the twinned TITAN Eros its counterpart as stated in (L)ine U KE - Y - 16:20 if things are converted backwardly. . . .

31:41 it can be scary though. I saw a spirit shove a tall, muscle bound man with so much force, that it immediately knocked him out for 10 mins or so. Before that I wouldn’t have imagined a spirit to be capable of that level of aggressive force. That was some juiced up spirit, for real. I saw another throw an entire bed in order seal up a staircase with it, in an effort to prevent further exploration. Yeah, some of them can be real charming. Some don’t harm, but love scaring and playing pranks on people. The most distasteful spirits, in my opinion though, are the ones that feed off people’s energies while they sleep. Unable to get their energy from source, they’ve been reduced to parasites.

Thank you for the video, it was illuminating and confirmed some signs I saw recently, I’m on the right path. I had a question come up, you said most spirits are nice in your experience and I’m glad that has been your experience, but it hasn’t been mine. I’ve had more experienced people describe my energy as “a moth to a flame” for spirits and a loooot of negative ones try and mess with me. I’d only call one a demon, the rest are rather distorted, corrupt, present as darkness, are greedy and self absorbed, or just have negative emotions tied to em. I wanna try being a bit more open, but I wanna be cautious because I’ve also noticed in the past some of them pose as benevolent spirits and the truly nice ones are quieter spoken and harder to notice, any advice?

How long do you leave it, a day? Is it disrespectful to just throw it away? Should you bury it? I feel like I am afraid I take away the offering too soon or am rude for just tossing it?

I’ve been listening to Consorting With Spirits and the ceremonial practices really didn’t resonate for me. I do love his writing style and a lot of the information is great! I just wish it was a little bit more practical. I’m going to keep listening to it because I’m intrigued. Maybe once I get out of this ritualistic block, it’ll start to resonate more.

It’s weird cuz I’ve physically heard stuff though they don’t respond when I say something but man one straight up said hello and I shot right out of bed lol a bag of cat food shot out at me at Walmart and the worker there was very confused lol I couldn’t do psychic witch cuz I can’t visualize so I freaked out on it then once calm regifted it lol how do u know if a spirit is around?

Could Dungeons and Dragons dice be mediums? I ask because DnD dice are in the shape of platonic solids which, (unless Im getting it wrong), have a correlation with sacred Geometry. If so, how would one use them as a medium?

What about if you are a spirit keeper & have a demon? The demon I had I set my boundaries but he never did anything to me or my pets but I wasn't going to work with a demon since he was used in voodoo but more to develop a understanding with an enity that is known as bad .I work more with the shem angels.

Hil Ivy, , what would be your suggestion on being sensitive to energies so I am very sensitive to energies around me, I can pretty much pick up on energies of a person a place and so forth, how can I go from there and strengthening that and using that to connect with say my land spirits, like trees, and so forth

Is it possible to unknowingly rid your home of all spirits good and bad? I don't feel any sort of presence in my home and I would like to experience that. I do have wards and iron around my perimeters as well as smaller layers of protection.

My first experience with a spirit was when I was 3. It was human, it was someone who passed in the house do to overdose - he was the landlady's son from what my dad told me. I never let go of my capability since then. On/Off I've encountered so many more at random. One really messed up encounter was at a Las Vegas hotel once I hit 20, it was a woman who used razor blades on herself in a bathtub, I heard a lot of crying that night as i tried sleeping. Yeah those places are a hotspot for spirits of those who offed themselves. I've picked up smells too, you hit the nail on that. I've seen the spirits of household pets too. For me it's been automatic when seeing them, I can see them at will now. This is part of the reason I decided to refer to myself as a warlock. Not just because I'm a male witch but because of what it means "Spirit Song/Caller" from the old Norse term "VVardi-Lokker" I loved this video Ivy thank you for this video! P.S when I was younger I really liked messing with Ouija boards, I got kicked out of my old church for pulling one out of my bag and using it with my friends during youth group lol. 🤘🍎🐍

What if I feel something or even see but when I ask my pendulum like "is it my guide? Is it spirit? is there smth?" and the answer is "NO" (the mentall ilness not possible here xd)
