Wrapping a car would give me such anxiety cuz it reminds me of putting on a nice expensive screen protector on your phone.. only to realize a small piece of dirt is sitting right in the middle of the screen and then you take it off and get finger prints on the inside. these jobs seem simple but its the prep and right environment and patience to get the job done. Nice vid!!

LOL That's a perfect analogy!! Same issue when working on headlight internals.. Nothing's ever clean enough when it's all back together 😫.. Luckily, neither Andrew or i are professionals on wrapping, and we have a more experienced wrapper who comes in for MG wrap jobs :D Thanks John!!! Looking forward to moar Supra 💪

Pretty sure we just did those on this car.. The job’s not finished, but that will be coming up in the series.. We didn’t film a tutorial, but it shows what we did to do the job for sure. The video won’t be out for a little though, cause we have more to film for that episode, and i’m currently editing 3 new episodes

You probably get asked this on every video but what exhaust setup is that in the intro
@milsgarage4 жыл бұрын
Haha it's all good 👍 It's a Megan Racing downpipe and exhaust we installed on a 3.8L 2011 Genesis Coupe in one of our earliest videos

I've been debating on doing the upper portion of my 2004 Outback wagon, how much 3M vinyl would that take and approximately labor time for me? TIA!
@milsgarage4 жыл бұрын
i have no idea.. We bring our buddy in who runs a wrap service to wrap the cars for us. Are you in the Delaware area, and are you looking to have us wrap your car?
@who8dapple4 жыл бұрын
Mils Garage, I'm in CT, so that wouldn't be cost effective. I'm pretty handy and figured that my car would be the ideal candidate to practice on.

Okay so i want to wrap my cb7, but the clear coat is peeling off do i need to sand the car first befor doing this process with the wrap?
@milsgarage4 жыл бұрын
i’m not a professional wrapper, but to the best of my knowledge, yes. Any flaws like peeling clear coat is going to make the surface uneven.. Sanding it down sounds like a good plan to me. We don’t have a paint booth at the shop yet, but we offer to wrap over primer, so as long as it’s smooth after your sanding 👍

where does one get these? tried going to the gm website and they have no easy way to look it up

Andrew got the supplies from Metro Restyling and JDMFV. Should be easier to find the products on their websites

If I had someone do my vinyl wrap and they told me they tucked it good enough...... yea maybe I should’ve went to someone who tucked it perfectly.

Wrapping takes so much more time, patience , and planning than i originally thought before we started wrapping at the shop.. i now know wrappers are practically artists.. Definitely worth it to have it done by the best 👍

Sooooo today's episode isn't a G35 one, but next week probably will be.. i also decided i probably shouldn't tell people the lineup anymore.. The lineup changes sometimes due to life outside of KZbin and i don't want to seem like a liar, but i really hope you'll enjoy today's episode 🤟. i'm really enjoying the installs i just did on the G, and those videos are coming up 👍👍👍

@@cut3b0i02 For any car, you'll need at least one full roll. Directional wrap takes up more wrap than any flat colors. The first time people wrap an entire car, they normally mess up on 2x or more large panels.. Definitely a learning curve to it
