Outstanding! I make jewelry mineral based to donate to our Gem and Mineral Club Museum in Franklin NC, this design will be an excellent addition to the Gift Shop stock! Thank you so much!

These are beautiful!! I have a lot of crystal points, but none of them have drilled holes. Would love to see a video showing how to wrap them without a drilled hole.

Love this! I’ve found that the wire I use turns into a copper color over time, do you have that same experience with the brand you used in this video or does it stay silver? Thank you!

A fantastic video. You explain everything so well and go at a pace that people can follow along. I am just learning wire wrapping. I've been practicing with german wire. Can I still get a look like yours with the German wire?
@FantasiaElegance3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much, Laura! Very glad you found the video easy to follow. You can definitely use German wire; you may just find it harder to do the bail weaving part, because German silver tends to be stiffer/harder to work with. You can also just leave out the weaving and still shape the bail the same way, though!

Is it possible to drill holes ourself if we have undrilled crystals?
@FantasiaElegance3 жыл бұрын
It is, but may require some specialized equipment you don't have - I'm not set up for it yet myself! Theoretically, you should be able to do it with a dremel and diamond bits, under water.

I've managed to do it on some cabochons..I'd be a little afraid to try the Crystal points just because they seem so delicate. The dremel I have is the pen sized one that plugs in..(the battery pack one didn't hold up very well) & ordered some diamond drill bits off ebay (something like 20-30 small size & different shaped bits for around $15)..the dremel itself was only around $25ish at walmart. I do love drilling river rocks, sea shells & sea glass as well as cutting right thru thick silverware!

Hi Jocelyn, great video as always. You always mention ‘in the description area below’. At the risk of looking dumb, WHERE exactly is that? I have searched and can’t find it. Thanks!
@FantasiaElegance3 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Cathy! To view the description section on a computer, you'll need to first *not* be in full screen mode, then if you look below the video you should see something that says "show more." Just click on that, and it will expand the description section for you. On a smartphone, (again, not in full screen mode) there will be a little gray arrow/triangle just to the upper right of the video title; you'll need to click on that, then scroll down to find the description section.

Hi! I would love to try this but was hoping to use sterling silver wire, do you think that'll be OK?
@FantasiaElegance3 жыл бұрын
Hi Ali! That should definitely work! I have used sterling with this design many times. The only difference is that you may find the weaving with sterling slightly more difficult than with fine silver, but it is definitely doable.

So you just drill into the crystal to get the thread through it?
@FantasiaElegance Жыл бұрын
I bought pre-drilled crystals, which is what I recommend! Drilling your own is tricky and requires a drill press with diamond drill bits.
