This is THE MOST INTUITIVE TUTORIAL IVE EVER SEEN THANK YOU!! Edit: if you guys want your bottom text to be on the outside of the circle like the thumbnail, all you have to do is duplicate the text, change the end points until its inside the circle (or just drag it in the circle as he shows you) go to windows>character> and adjust the Baseline shift option to - whatever fits. (Left bottom) Bam!

FYI I don't know about old versions of PS, but with PS 2021, you can legit double click on your canvas with the ellipse tool and set it from center and size without using the pink guides or holding shift, in other words it makes a perfectly centered circle in the smack dab middle of the canvas. 😊

At the 3:14 point in your video when I click the path selection tool my circular path disappears. What am I doing wrong? I've followed the steps exactly and tried dozens of times but I get the same result, whenever I click the path selection tool I don't get a node to drag my text, rather the whole path disappears. Every Time.

Hi... I'm new to photoshop and following along with this. I fully understand all your instructions and I've gotten everything so far, but when I click on text to create type my cursor does not change and therefore does not type in a circular pattern. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I'm using CS6 - does that matter? I also noticed my ellipse does not have the solid line and points at each point, and mine is just a selection that goes away as soon as I hit the type key.

just to share what i learned recently. to make a quick guide line, click ctrl + r to enable ruler. Then just click anywhere on the ruler and drag toward anywhere the line you desire. if you want it to be on center, just slowly drag the line towards the center and it will automatically snap the line ^^ applicable to horizontal and also vertical :)

Try to slide and hold the mouse directly over the circle line for a second, and see if that fixes the issue. 👉🏿🚫
