Part Four of “How to write a 15 second radio commercial,” is all about how to turn your ideas into a script. You have a good strategy for your message, you’ve come up with some ideas to help you stand out from the crowd. Now you need to get those ideas down on paper.
First of all, have a clear picture in your mind of who your audience is. Not every listener is your audience. It is only the people who are potential buyers of the product you are selling. What will drive them to find out more? What are the things that will interest them? If you know how your audience thinks you will know how to talk to them.
Know the product you are advertising. The more you know, the better chance you have of convincing someone why it is worth buying. Even in 15 seconds you might be able to share something about the product or service your buyer will find compelling.
Then you can write. Find the words and sounds that will bring your idea to life. Create pictures from sound to help your idea stand out and become memorable.
