I have pitched in a way. Both times, the brands had a google doc for potential collaborators to fill out and submit. Sometimes there's a section on the form to talk more about yourself and I'll include how I already love the brand/mention what I'm already sharing for example, "I love your products and am working on a KZbin review." And of course, since I have a very small following right now, I'm all for gifted collaborations since I only seek out brands that I would buy their products anyway. Thank you for sharing your influencer tips :D

@@LibbyAudrey yes so true! And I’ve applied through influencer campaign platforms too for some deals and it’s helpful to elaborate on those sections. Thank you as always for watching 😇🥰

This was a great video! As a former brand Marketing Manager I really like the tip of creating a compelling email subject line. So many times I received vanilla email from potential influencers but it is easy to forget when I am on the influencer side of the conversation. Great tip!

Honestly this was the best video I’ve watched so far on this subject. I’ve been pitching brands regularly for 1.5 years and working with brands for 4.5 years and yet still struggle with a strong pitch. I’m going to be including all this in my Q2 pitches and see how it pans out! I also have tried the guide for brand partnerships on IG more for me to quickly be able to find and link them in emails with example content that is relevant to the brand I’m pitching. I think I’ll also create a page on my blog for this with categories. Thanks so much for a great video, Austin! Subscribed!

Great video, thank you! One thing that you didn't touch on is how long your emails end up being once all this is included. I am a super detailed person so I can sometimes struggle to keep things short & sweet, which could end up being my downfall with pitch emails. I'd love to hear your thoughts on formatting & length!
@AustenTosone Жыл бұрын
honestly as short as possible is the way to go! If you haven't yet made contact with the brand I highly suggest sending an intro email first so that you feel like there's less you need to explain in your pitch in the way of your backstory, audience, etc. Building those connections is really important to do first!

Hi. I would love to know how you approach brands, without having them steal ideas. I would love to collaborate with an equestrian brand, although my "brand" is trademarked I am afraid that it is not protected enough. How would you approach someone with a Non-disclosure agreement?
@AustenTosone3 жыл бұрын
It's a great question Geena! I've never had a brand sign an NDA before but I'd suggest pitching ideas that the brand can't execute without you so highlight your unique strengths and your audience when you reach out! I hope that helps a bit.

HIIII. a friend referred me to your YT channel and wow I love this video so much. Quick question, what should I add if I dont have any associate links or any qualitative data? what can I include instead of this while I wait to get this type of engagement from my audience? greatly appreciated!
@AustenTosone3 жыл бұрын
Hi! What do you mean by associate links? If you don't have any quantitative data, meaning any comments or DM's from your audience, I would encourage you to continue to get your engagement up on your account before you start pitching brands to put yourself in a better position to get a "yes" when you pitch one. Hope that makes sense!

great video! I just got monitored and I now have close to 1.8k subscribers. Let month we started putting out constant content Everyweek. My question for you is. how long should my contracts with brands be? Should they be per video or should they be for one video a month for a year and then we make out a new contract?
@AustenTosone2 жыл бұрын
If you can get them to agree to a long-term partnership I think that's best because then you can get consistent income each month. Just make sure there aren't any limiting exclusivity clauses that would prevent you from working with other partners during that time. Congrats on your growth!
@youngredangus60412 жыл бұрын
@@AustenTosone thanks So like a one year contract? Or longer. If I grow form 2k it seems like my rates should go up. How do you increase your rates?
@AustenTosone2 жыл бұрын
@@youngredangus6041 it’s a good question! You can price your rate higher than you would now to account for growth or you can see if maybe they’ll let you put in a clause about checking in at 6 months to account for growth. It’s really up to you! Alternatively you can break up the contract like you suggested into smaller periods, but for some creators the consistent pay is worth locking in early.

What are your thoughts on reaching out to a brand through Instagram dms directly, as opposed to email? Do you think it looks lazy/unprofessional? Or is it acceptable?
@AustenTosone2 жыл бұрын
It's a great question! In my opinion, email is always the best and most professional way to reach out but building a relationship with a brand on Instagram is important too! I'd use the DM's to get the conversation rolling with a brand and then ask if you can chat further over email with someone on the influencer marketing team (as the person who is responding to DM's isn't always the person responsible for partnerships.) Hope this helps!
@JCHall-uf2tz2 жыл бұрын
I need the opposite, I would love to find a Micro-Influencer for my product/service. It has not been easy, you have to pay to find influencers which is not a bad investment if the lists they sell are legit.
