I think fist person makes more sense for a small artist...Third person is best for medium/large artists for competing w/ the huge ones!! Man you are saving my life FOR REAL!! Been stuck trying to write this BIO for months.....and now I´ve got a place to start!! THANKS A LOT and again...Binge Watching ahahaha

I really appreciate this teaching! I have been in the music industry for 40 years… I have done a lot of stuff… but my bios can become a list instead of giving that crucial element of “How can I relate” or “what’s in it for me” for the reader… this gives me a lot to think about. Thanks!

I honestly never look at bios, I judge purely on the content, whether it's music or videos or whatever. I think me looking at your bio today, to see whether you walk the walk (and you do), was my first time reading a KZbin bio in years...

Yeah I'm not a huge reader either. But I think it's important to have a solid one cos lots of people are readers. Thanks mate

@frommusiciantoartist Жыл бұрын
You could use we. It gives the appearance of you having a team around you which could be a good thing. I think as an independent, it’s not as powerful as you being you.

3rd person is best cause someone could easily lie about themselves being more popular than they actually are in 1st person. In addition to it, they may dream about success, thinking it was real, leading to what I mentioned earlier. Hope this helps! 👍

Can you give me feedback on my bio please? .... Fusing profound/heartfelt lyrics and catchy melodies with beachy, folk, pop, rock, & hip-hop vibes, Erik Hesson is a singer-songwriter, guitarist, and piano composer hailing from sunny, sexy St. Petersburg, Fl. Acclaimed for his compelling lyrics and hooks that draw you in immediately, he has released 11 singles since November 2022 and he performs regularly at nightclubs, bars, and other small venues around town until he can sell out stadiums and play larger venues in the future. His upcoming Unplugged Album is scheduled for release in the Summer of 2023 and is expected to be an instant classic.
@frommusiciantoartist Жыл бұрын
Hey Erik, for sure I can give some feedback. You’ve got some nice accolades visions here to get your audience excited. I think generally it’s a bit broad though. I’m struggling to imagine what a beach folk pop rock hip hop vibe would be. I think you’d find more success narrowing that genre (even if your music does cover all of those, it should target more specifically) pick one or two. Then I would just leave off the future stadiums section. It sounds like your reaching a bit. On the whole good man!
