Oaky so I am a 3rd year nursing student and have been online for a lot of my RN program and I am have to thank you for taking the time to really explain this in such a succinct and clear way. I am doing my maternity rotation and was feeling like I was making things much harder than it had to be. I believe our first year was review on NANDA and have only had one other placement since and this was the best way I have had it explained and broken down. sorry for my long windedness. I just appreciate this video very much!

I'm sorry about the confusion! I just realized the care plan template in there isn't labeled as "Care Plan Template" but the file name is. So go by the file name. 😃 It's also a .zip file, so you'll need to unzip it to access the template and care plans. I hope that helps!

I want to know How to write a For Risk for dx.
@NursingSOS2 жыл бұрын
Janice Gallardi at risk for nursing diagnosis would be structured in the same format except for that initial at risk for portion. Typically these are not the highest acuity diagnosis because you would want to include the actual acute problem, but they can relate to the acute problem as well. So if you are going to include an at-risk diagnosis, make sure you have a diagnosis that relates to the acute problem as well.
@janicegallardi73492 жыл бұрын
@@NursingSOS Yes, I am a clinical faculty for a university and college and they teach differently. I was trying to make some sense of it. One is Risk for..........as evidenced by with no r/t statement and the other one is Risk for...........r/t with no AEB.

You got me so confused: diabetes is the MEDICAL diagnosis, not the nursing diagnosis. The nursing dx would be insulin resistance or impaired insulin production. So is the etiology the nursing dx????
@NursingSOS4 жыл бұрын
You are absolutely right that the medical diagnosis is diabetes, the nursing diagnosis would be something along the lines of diabetes, such as risk for unstable blood glucose. The insulin resistance or impaired insulin production would be the etiology so it would be the related to factor. So your NANDA nursing diagnosis and then it is related to the etiology or the patho. I hope that helps clarify it for you, Vox Parva. :)

couldn't get the template :(
@NursingSOS6 жыл бұрын
Oh no! I'm sorry it's not working for you. Can you tell me more about what's going on? Will it let you download the file, but the template isn't there? Or will it not let you put in your name and email? Or something else? Once I have more information, I can figure out what the problem is and fix it :)
@janicegallardi73492 жыл бұрын
We teach that 'Diabetes Type II" is actually a Medical Diagnosis...not a nursing diagnosis.
@NursingSOS2 жыл бұрын
Janice Gallardi yes you are right that it would be a medical diagnosis, not a NANDA nursing diagnosis. So sorry for any confusion, you wouldn't use Type 2 Diabetes as the nursing diagnosis, but we were reviewing what the etiology would be if your NANDA diagnosis was related to type 2 Diabetes. I hope that helps clarify it for you! Thank you for being here, friend!
