What is a math comp exam? We are supposed to take one at some point in our 1st semester of nursing school.

I'm assuming that it's this! The dose calc exam (or med math exam). Nursing schools like to call it different things. But it all just means that you'll have an exam that covers dosage calculations.

SO my program includes dose calc in EVERY exam, some more some less. I was told there is no dose calc total exam....(unsure if that's 100% legit) BUT. Is it common for there to not be a total dose calc? I'm unsure I'd pass a total dose calc exam... trying to study just in case, I often round wrong or am close to the correct answer or misread it. In real life, you don't hardly ever have to do this (from what I've done in nursing work, I mean SOMETIMES but usually the pharmacy sends you the dose pre prepared and it's no sweat or doing math isn't as strenuous because no one is grading you and the pyxis or ekit give you the dose or eetc etc talking more.) I am kind of worried about dose calc. I CAN do it, it just takes me too long and we don't always have a white board or scrap paper

Are you in an ATI or HESI program? I would say that most programs DO have a full dose calc test, but it's not unheard of that some don't. But I would definitely say that's less common.

Questions: What if the test answers were 2.5 tabs and 1 tab. What would the answer be?

They are both correct, but if it were me I would choose the one that gives less tablets to the pt

The 200 is the one who have in your stock, thats what you gonna use to find out how much u giving ur patient
