The most enjoyable of the process of taking notes is rethinking your notes, connecting ideas in multiple directions and building with them a mindmap of your research with a deeper and richer understanding of how the pieces of the puzzle stick together. I love your videos. Keep up with the new format. And sorry for my poor English.

1) Hat is sweet , definitely going to pick one up whenever I visit Ireland 2) all content is good content. If impromptu videos are easier to make, then I say make more of those. The shaky-ness didn’t bother me and I enjoy the off the cuff-ness of them. Thanks again! Love the videos, keep it up!

I find the first videos, when you filmed yourself, easier to read what is written on the cards and in your screen. The ones filmed by your partner are more distracting and harder to focus on the contents. Great videos. Probably the best about zettelkasten that I watched so far, and I’ve been reading about it for over two years now.

This makes more sense now. I assume you have decided on a structure for your paper/book and then just slot your cards into those sections? This is an amazing system. I am currently reading your book with a BIB card in hand. I love how I can let my mind think freely and write notes as I read. later I will put them in notes and watch them grow!

This is very informative. First it's a nice hat. Second I like the second strategy of having your SF video taping you while your able to explain your system without you holding the camera back and forth. Very good video!!!

@@shenjianhong Yep indeed. I'm thinking of actually hosting some live webinars (free); and perhaps in the future doing an in-person summit or conference to do in-person teaching. I think the biggest impact would happen in-person; yet I'm flexible and open to doing an online course. Will probably start with a series of free webinars or workshops.

One issue that keeps cropping up across most content creators is the lack of discussion on the output itself. So, thanks for showing that here! I am not entirely convinced that a digital system is not as good, at least, as the "analog" one. But, I do think that if it is lacking because of the discovery/card selection process. That part of the process is not really discussed/shown enough. Would you please consider a video on that at some point? How you went about selecting those cards that are now leading to your paper (maybe with a live example)? Maybe that could help clear up how to emulate that process digitally for others.
@scottscheper
@scottscheper 2 жыл бұрын
Yes definitely will consider that. Also not focusing on the output is the primary thing that will result in frustration for many. I address this in my book.

@@scottscheper I could not agree more with Sahil. So much content spent on how to use CSS to configure your Obsidian theme and big opportunity for more output-based content on Luhmanns method.

Scott, a few things: 1. Yes, that hat is awesome. 2. I do like the improved format. Some of the older videos had great content but sometimes you wouldn't hold the camera long enough in one place (like on your cards). It's also better to see you talking to the camera than behind it. 3. I didn't realize the "Anti" in Antinet was an acronym. I like the double meaning. 4. When do you think your book will be ready? I'm struggling with my analog Zettelkasten because there's too many articles and videos on digital versions and not enough solid examples of system such as yours. Any help for a newbie would be most appreciated! Thanks.

Is there an app like Ulysses that is available on Windows machines? I would like to know your recommendation.
@finnishredder
@finnishredder Жыл бұрын
Great tip on writing and about the Ulysses app - just downloaded it! So you put every separate zettel or string of zettels as their own sheets and then mix & refine them into a text? This is the way you did your book as well? This was a nice new way of doing a video but I prefer you showing the separate zettels as there's always some new small details to observe on your notes.... :) can't wait for your book!
@scottscheper
@scottscheper Жыл бұрын
No, you don't need to put each note in a separate sheet. Each note would essentially be a paragraph that makes up a chapter.

Purchased your special offer but chose not to include the 5 one-time bonus offer. FYI, it made me go into information overload plus I hate copywriting spiel (used to be one and don't need to waste my time reading it). I'm a give me the needy gritty kind of gal. Too bad it's a one-time offer. In the past I purchased offers and then became information overloaded. Then froze, walked away from all the information and never finish. Stopped stacking up books to read after giving up my radio show where I needed to read 5 or more books a week. I only do topic focused reading now. I like the Z system, and I'm now beginning to switch my previous index card content development card system I've been using for the last 15 years. I purchased your book. Not interested in any of the man's history, or any other of its history. I what to focus on what and how I can use it now for my specific projects. I've watched all your KZbin videos. They are so much better than the others I've watched. That's why I decided to invest in the book. Now I need to buckle down and experiment. Keep up the great work. Maybe you will have offers after I finished reading the appropriate chapters in your book that apply for my needs. I let you know when my next book comes out using the system. Thank you for every one of your videos. Haven't been disappointed even once.

No comments on the hat since I have no taste in fashion at all. As for the video format, I don't mind the phone angle. To be honest, I haven't even noticed the shakiness since it is supposed to be a first-person view into the process of working with the antinet!
