I'm an international applicant, I applied to the UK unis last yr fir my bachelors but my results came out late this year and this delayed everything and have some financial problems due to the pandemic. I was searching for some affordable options/where I can get more scholarship and yet have the opportunity to study in some world leading unis cuz imo research and practical experience is very important to me to gain during my course.I deferred my entry in the UK unis and decided to apply to Hong Kong. Last time I didn't consider money much while applying for the UK unis but I do care that Hong Kong unis are the only ones who are giving much scholarships for bachelors than any other place. I think that I should explain that why I had to take a gap yr, do u think I should mention applying to the UK unis in my Hong Kong' personal statement? I'm worried that it might come off as that I'm taking them as backup and they're my 2nd choice.

Sorry I can’t! But I would advise searching those key words in Google Scholar or JStor because I’m sure there are interesting journal articles on those topics that can direct you to further reading. Also, research the names of the professors in the faculties of the unis you’re applying to because I’m sure they will have published work on their own subject areas :)

Hii, I repeated year 12 because I failed chemistry in the first year which made me realise medicine is not the career path for me . I’m currently going into year 13 with psychology, philosophy and french . In my personal statement should I mention that I repeated year 12 with different subjects ? Because I don’t think a lot of unis would be happy to hear it and they would be reluctant to give me a position in unis like UCL OR QUEEN MARY OR KINGS . What is your advice ? Because on the contrary it could show how I learn from my failures and I come back . But again I wouldn’t get any unconditional offers by saying I failed . Can you help me pls

Hello! It's okay that you repeated year 12, it's nothing to feel bad about, in fact you're lucky you realised medicine is not for you early on and not at the end of your exams! There is no reason why you would have to mention this on your personal statement or your teacher's reference. It's irrelevant information so write your personal statement as if you haven't repeated year 12 at all, focus on your best qualities and you will be fine! Best of luck! :)

If you apply for midwifery at 5 different unis, you're still only applying for one course (different unis will offer somewhat different modules, however if the course is labelled as midwifery it's still classed as applying for one course) :) x
