Thanks GUTOM! Very kind of you to say! Yeah whenever I swerve from hair content, the views just don't come! It's an algorithm thing...I hope the few people that do see this can get some good tips. :)

My last job lasted 11 weeks as a seasonal worker and then there was 13 years in between as a stay at home mom I think that has been devastating to me trying to get a job I’ve been denied five times. Is it better to put the job that I had 14 years ago that lasted almost 7 years?
@marisayanta48023 жыл бұрын
Hi Bekah, Just a viewer here, but I would say absolutely put both. Of course you will probably have more detail for the 7 year job. Highlight any results, especially if you can quantify them--and this can be a rough estimate quantification too (over 5 commendations for customer representative work, 15% increase in sales...). Don't get down about being turned down. 5 denials is nothing! It's a numbers game and there are many applicants. I believe visualizing yourself happy in a job that's just great for you works wonders. Repeat every morning and night for a few minutes. LinkedIn sounds also like a great way to get out more job applications with less work. And definitely brush up on skills via LinkedIn Learning or Udemy, etc...Seeing you with wonderful work! : )

Where I live in San Francisco I don't see people riding bikes to work or driving getting off public transportation and and some have the Luxury to work at home also colleges accept online are closed also vocational schools and what do we tell an employer what you been doing during the Wuhan Covid-19 pandemic and a lot of people have lost their jobs plus I don't have any references anymore also I have a disability which in the US you can only make a curtain amount of money while on benefits and the people in Canada are probably more friendly then here in the US and I never had buddies at work and co-workers can get you fired so I always stuck to myself!

Tough times have become even tougher, that's for sure. Thanks for leaving this comment--so many of us are struggling. I hear you on the coworkers--they can be the worst (or best) part of the job, depending on the situation! :)

I wonder what the reasons are why people switch careers in this period of time, compared to let’s say 20 years ago

i would say they could have had a life changing experience, it could be sickness/family deaths/accidents/religious revelation so they've changed careers
