Polyphia uses variations of the IV - vi and i VI v VI V a lot. Also e minor/g major or b minor/d major scale for a lot of harmonics.

I feel that. Melodies are so difficult. There seems to be a lot of processes for fleshing out a song once you’ve established a great melody, but not as much regarding writing melodies. To me, melody writing feels like the most human, and least automatable part of the process. I do find singing to be the most useful for me melody wise though.

Question The list of 4 chord loops I can use: The numbers 1 3 2 5 mean (E min7 , G, F#/D, and B7??) I have no idea. I think number 1 means root chord? Im trying to learn your song here.
