I am 63 years old and studing English/ Creative Writing with Concentration of Fiction and Non-fiction, I am taking History this semester and I am writing a paper on Juvenile crime in Baltimore City Md. The crime rate and types of crimes by juveniles is off the charts. The whole Juvenile system needs to be completly changed. I won't bore you but I'm on Social Security and using grants and loans to get through school. I could use that monitor and some scholarships to helpme live. Ms. Smart Student or anyone who reads this I have a few questions on how to make a Research Paper, First Question: you CAN put in graphs, diagrams and etc. right? IF so, which place/position is most suitable to put it in... near the beginning, in the middle, or near the end? If you are trying to prove a point based on the graph results you have researched/found. Second Question: In making a Research Paper, WHAT format of/HOW many sentences per paragraph do you use.... 3-5 sentences per paragraph, 5-10 sentences, or more? Third Question: In making a Thesis Statement, you said it has to be worth 1-2 sentences. So for example: Humans are intelligent animals........... and under go evolution. Humans can be bla bla bla. ( So here are 2 sentences, can this still be classifies as a Thesis Statement? OR do I need to merge them into 1 sentence, that looks like it has 2 sentences in it? I think- that's all the questions I wish to ask- I hope that someone can clarify and answer my questions

I disagree with the final thesis statement being acceptable at the college level. It is too short because it doesn't use specific language and lacks complexity. How does a herding mentality relate to being a good emotional support pet? The word "they" could be confusing; it can be referring to the dogs or the person needing the dog.

The purpose of this video is to demonstrate the 3 components of thesis statement in applicable manner. The complexity of papers will vary but these key components will not. Students should adjust according to their situation. Keep in mind that evidence to support a claim is relative to the research being done. It should reflective what is discussed in the paper. "Herding mentality" is simply an example of the support this student chose to explore.
