This is exactly what I wanted to know. I was born with a cleft lip and palate in the 1950s, before there was an effective way of dealing with it (e.g. my first surgery at 5 days old). There are a ton of things I can write about-the difference in treatments (obviously), bullying in school, beauty and jobs, how it affected my love life, proving my intelligence, pollution and facial deformities, etc. I'd wondered if I could write more than one memoir, since it would all be a blur, if I tried writing about it all in one book. Thank you.

Many authors write multiple memoirs about different parts of their lives, check out Mary Karr who has written several of her own bestselling memoirs. She also wrote a book about memoir writing called The Art of Memoir.

Hi +LIsa Tomarelli. How exciting that your daughter starts college this Fall ~ I agree it feels so weird to be entering that soon-to-be-empty-nesting-stage! But I'm excited for our kids too with all their plans... and maybe it'll also give me more time to write ;) I don't have a memoir written yet. In this interview with Marion, we just sortof talked about an idea for a possible Memoir, but I haven't written it yet. I think at some point I would like to write a memoir, it would be fun and challenging! Happy that you are working on yours. Hope all goes well for you with your writing and with the new 'empty-nesting' time in your life... ;)
