@@XRAYREY I left a picture review of this card and how I rock it. My Markers have radhesive on them and they stick and hold on to the card amazingly and the paint/picture does not peel or fade so you know your card is great quality!

Such a great and helpful video! Thank you. Is there any way you can do a video on marker placements on the bucky? and on the table top if done in recumbent?

You have a pretty cool and spacious xray room. Ive worked at some clinics that barely had any space lol. Usually when that happens the place is a dump lol
@XRAYREY3 жыл бұрын
Well this is the ideal room I like to record in. Minus the auto detent LOL The other rooms aren't too nice on the eyes

Never include abdomen and iliac crests and humerus in the projection. Never include both sides when one side is injured. Be sure to use the correct kV as it is different to a lung exposure. Let accurate collimation be your guide. If it is not collimated to the region of interest, it is a failed examination as far as dose goes.

May I ask you some questions? In the unilateral, should it be 40”? And why he used RAO for the anterior injury on the right side?
@thevoiceharmonic2 ай бұрын
@@jeremyz8020 FFD doesn't matter a lot, just compensate with exposure. I just direct the xrays to the region required. Steep obliques can show anterior rib injuries. All we need to do is show the injury in standard and supplementary projections, AP, oblique and perhaps, steep oblique. We can find more information about the injury position from the patient and adjust our technique accordingly.

Great tips on imaging ribs mate. They can be a head scratcher for new grad techs for sure. You get bonus points for the funky bone shoes. Thanks again for the awesome video from Aussie by way of NZ

In terms of patient radiation exposure, is it the same as regular Chest X-Ray at 0.01-0.02 mSv? Thank you. Let's say 3 images for a left/right Rib Series to diagnose a patient with suspected fracture, what would be the cumulative OR individual exposure. I believe RS adjust the power and field of view not sure how much it changes the radiation amount to the patient.
