Ikesakes Scottie Yes Definitely! 1. Don’t be nervous take your time please that’s important! 2. My test the instructor told be to go over the following -Reversing by a curb, try not to get so close to the curb or middle of the street. I heard the placing your right hand on the back of the passenger seat and left hand on the wheel and slowly looking back while backing up is the key to passing I tried it and it worked -Stopping along the right side of the street then getting back in to traffic, make sure to use your turn signals and look back for any incoming cars coming along side the main road -Parallel parking, Make sure you look back also and be alert of any cars and pedestrians behind you. -Parking in a hill, just make sure the wheels are turned away from the curb and then set it on park - and obviously make sure you stop and stop signs and yield to yield signs and before you enter a round about if you do enter a roundabout make sure to let any cars go through first if they were there before you same vice versa - And last just parking in a parking spot which is easy just take your time don’t rush or speed it Good Luck Tell me how it goes! 🍀

I took the WA driving test yesterday. Passed on one attempt. The examiner gave me 97% for my driving skills. Well, I already have been driving in my former country though (Righthand drive). Here in US, I had to go through the entire process again. But just a heads up; when backing up at a curb or just a straight road, when you have to be close to the curb then always try and turn your side view mirror closer to curb facing downwards. That way, you can see if you’re close to the curb or not. Also, always give turn indicator followed by turning your head to see the blind spot

The parking, parallel and hill park, altogether are only worth 12% though. Parallel parking only fails you if you hit the poles. The things that get you are improper lane change, signal usage, speed, and backing around a corner if you don't stay to the proper lane position, as it counts as a violation if you wind up swinging wide and backing into the flow of traffic.

I'd say the Washington State driving test is a joke. I say this because I see many people on the road who do not know how to drive. I grew up in California's bay area where people drive fast and aggressive and you have to be a good driver or you get in alot of accidents. Yes we drive fast in California but we also get in far fewer accidents and I think that says something. These are the issues I see with Washington drivers 1) driving the wrong speed, every day on my drive to work I see someone trying to do 40 or 50 mph on the freeway and someone else trying to do 80mph, this difference in speed is not good everyone should be going 60 to 70. I think alot of Washington cities intentionally set the speed limit too low to maximize ticket revenue and many Washatonians are accustomed to driving too slow. The thing is going too slow is just as dangerous as going to fast because the drivers behind you will get frustrated, make risky maneuvers to get around you, they might crash and you might get caught in the pileup. I don't care what the speed limit sign says most people will do 60 to 70 mph on a straight multilane freeway, please go with the flow of traffic for all our sakes. I also see people not slow down in the rain/snow, you need to slow down alittle bit if the road is wet, slow down alot if there are huge puddles in the road or the road is snowy/icy. 2) Not knowing how to drive in the rain. I'm amazed how the number of accidents goes way up whenever it rains. In California the number of accidents does not go way up when it rains. Its not hard to drive in the rain slow down alittle bit, allow alittle more following distance, assume that it will take slightly longer to stop and you if you can't avoid a big puddle slow way down. 3) Not knowing how to merge. This isn't hard either when two lanes come together you alternate a car from one lane goes then a car from the other lane goes. You might think you are saving time by not letting the other car in but in reality that just slows everyone down alternating is much more efficient. Also if you play chicken with the other cars alot eventually you will misjudge and get into a fender bender. 4) Allowing too much space between you and the car in front of you. In most cases having alot of space is a good thing it allows you more time to react but if you are crawling along the I-5 onramp at 5mph you really don't need very much space between you and the next car. If you are not close to the car in front of you other cars will cut in front of you greatly slowly you down and it will take 30 minutes to get onto I5 instead of 10 minutes. 5) I have had people turn into my lane a few times without checking to see if another car was there and the only thing that saved me was I able to speed up/slow down or change lanes one of these times I know I'm not going to be so lucky. Looking in you're mirror isn't enough you also need to take a quick over you're shoulder to see the space that is not in you're mirror.
