I find it absolutely disgusting when people sound their horn at learner drivers. Seriously, it’s like they forget they were once in their shoes.
@nchnch_5 жыл бұрын
As much as I'm all for being patient with learners and giving them space, if I was in the black Fiesta's shoes at the start there, I would have tooted the horn - it's an appropriate use, as it serves a purpose of making someone aware of your presence and might have stopped them from pulling out into you. However, the Fiesta also seemed to be going at a fair rate, so it would also have helped if they actually braked a bit as well as using the horn.
@richishere825 жыл бұрын

Not everyone will agree, but there should be a minimum number of hours (at least 20) you should accumulate before you are sent for a test, regardless of natural skill. You're not riding push bikes, you're moving around 1-2 tons of metal at considerable speed. I once asked my instructor for a test after about 8-9 lessons and he said something along the lines of "you're getting better but your experience is still quite low and it would be pointless to send you for a test". So I decided to have extra lessons at night. Driving at night is a whole new experience and I'm glad I had those extra lessons, because I passed first time.
@Ahmed____5 жыл бұрын
Why should someone have to take a minimum number of lessons if they are confident and safe behind the wheels earlier than others? Do you keep using stabilisers on your bike once you can ride it?

Give her a break, she's only had 10 lessons, not everybody learns quick and these lessons aren't a one size fits all procedure. Some pass later than others and end up being very good drivers, some pass quick and are a menace on the road. She's just inexperienced, she'll do fine.
@fetchstixRHD5 жыл бұрын
“...she’s only had 10 lessons...” exactly the point people are making, it’s ideally not the point where you should be thinking about tests when you’re new to cars. I can bet that most people that were saying she was a danger aren’t doing so out of malice or ridicule, pointing out flaws doesn’t mean you dislike someone and indeed often means they want you to improve.
@bluefilmsltd5 жыл бұрын
@@fetchstixRHD Well, yeah, i imagine after that mock driving test she got a reality check and realised she was nowhere near test ready or able to drive properly. But we all realise that so way add salt to the wounds? Also, think you underestimate the sheer, unrelentless nastiness that is youtube comments.
@fetchstixRHD5 жыл бұрын
Blue Sera Films: “...so [why] add salt to the wounds?” I don’t think that’s the right way to look at it. Yes maybe it might hurt to read that you didn’t do well, but most people aren’t commenting to hurt her feelings or put her down. Don’t forget that humans are often unrealistically optimistic at times too, many people have gone for driving tests at a time where they are far from ready (although the fact that she’s been filmed while taking a mock practical suggests that she’s more open to feedback for improvement than most). “...think you underestimate the sheer, unrelentless nastiness that is youtube comments” I can’t speak as to whether this comment section is moderated, but there are about 350 comments on this video, it’s not too difficult to browse through all of them. The worst of them I’ve seen are saying (paraphrasing) that it’s scary that she passed her actual driving test or that she shouldn’t be on the roads (one of which I replied to while I was watching the video beforehand), but those aren’t frequent. The majority of comments I’ve seen either are commenting why she wasn’t ready from the video and a few are giving encouragement to keep working on her driving. Yes comment sections online can be nasty (a consequence of a platform where you can openly comment and especially when it’s about emotionally charged topics) but here it isn’t too terrible. I’m willing to bet that most people who watch this channel do so to learn about driving and it’s niche enough to escape general conflicts that arise elsewhere.

@@fetchstixRHD While I accept that YOU may not have had any negative intentions in criticising her performance here, I don't think you can speak for everyone else. A lot of the comments on here go beyond general critiquing and are downright nasty. When somebody comments, 'lol 10 hours, joker I was driving better after 5 hours' or 'she can't drive at all she's terrible' that's not critiquing, that's a bunch of insulting adjectives.

@Adell.Explores5 жыл бұрын
NA66 35 tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/red-routes/rules-of-red-routes/yellow-box-junctions “You may enter a yellow box junction when your exit is clear and there is enough space on the other side of the junction for your vehicle to clear the box completely without stopping. You can stop in a yellow box junction when turning right if you are prevented from turning by oncoming traffic, or by other vehicles waiting to turn right.”
@xCrazzzzy5 жыл бұрын
You are not to stop in a yellow box unless you're turning into a new road/junction. So, in this instance she anticipated that she would be moving over the box and not stopping. Yellow boxes are put next to junctions like this as a 'Keep Clear' signal to drivers. And when I said above unless you're turning into a new road/junction, sometimes you'll turn right/left when the light is green but it may not be safe to do so as oncoming traffic has priority, as long as the front of your car is in the yellow box slightly it shows that you're commited to going, which means that even if the lights turn red you may go when its safe to do so. This can also be seen in 4:47.
@peacemgbedike28745 жыл бұрын
you can't ever obstruct it because if there is a junction and if you do, vehicles trying to enter of leave the road thats on the left/right they are unable to do so because your blocking - basically creating gaps so unnecessary traffic doesnt build up!
@carldickinson58125 жыл бұрын
You can only stop in a box junction if your turning Right and your exit road is clear of traffic. At any other time stop before the yellow box or if you think you have enough room to clear it then that’s ok.

I just passed on my 3rd attempt on Friday 22nd Nov with 4 minors and I've been having lessons more or less every week since February. My advice would be not to rush it and just because youre nervous doesnt mean youre not ready because my leg was shaking like crazy the whole test.

The person honked their horn when she was figuring out how to recover from a stall because the air flow and vibrations from the horn helps stimulate the pistons in the engine and give the car more energy to move off 😊 how considerate of them ♥
