Amazing Video and Topic to talk about ! In the 90s and early 2000s the Marvel toys were taking over all other licensed toys .
@SuperSwimTeam74 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I appreciate that, Marvel took up a lot of shelf space compared to other brands, ToyBiz marketed these toys super agreasively

I've spent around $1,000 dollars on Marvel Legends. Although there are a few I wouldn't mind selling. I'm still proud of the collection I own. Collecting always felt like something I could look forward to with spare money I had. I still remember my first Marvel Legend being the Alexander Kid Nova. What was your first Marvel Legend?
@SuperSwimTeam74 жыл бұрын
My first was Winter Soldier Cap, it's my favorite Cap costume, I got it second hand at my LCS, and in the years since I've amassed a descent sized collection. I'd hate to imaging how much I've spent on Legends since i started. I've spent way too much but God I love these figures.

Great video and overview, but I have to object to Thunderstrike being maligned as poorly drawn or ultraviolet.

Yeah toy biz having control over marvel comics was always a terrible idea that ruined a lot of stories like the clone saga and the heroes reborn and onslaught ruining everything.
@SuperSwimTeam74 жыл бұрын
It's fair to say they had a large hand in tanking the market in the 90s comic crash
@TevyaSmolka4 жыл бұрын
Super Swim Team 7 yeah that’s true but not only that but also greed and pointless gimmicks and really bad ideas also killed the industry as well which is sad because the comic book industry could’ve been great in the 90s if the idiots corporate assholes didn’t take control of the stories and mess everything up badly.

Subscribed! Very nice content especially I for one a marvel legends collector and some of the brands from time to time. It's surprising how toys can affect the synergy of a company, even contributing to its downfall

You forgot play school action figures I practically breathed them as a kid collecting those 2 inch Spider-Man movie figures I wish I still had them tho Edit: actually it’s super hero squad toys

I'm about a year late but you forgot one of the biggest marvel action figure lines ever marvel universe 3.75 which eventually turned into marvel legends infinite series 3.75 that you mentioned in the beginning of the video

I've got a rare Marvel Origins Captain America #618 of 2500 diamonf select figure/statue and can't find anything on it on the web. If anyone knows where to go to track that kind of stuff down so I can find a value for it I'd appreciate it.
@Mrenderboyo24 жыл бұрын
I started collecting marvel legends a few years ago and while they’re great, im going to collect marvel universe figures because 1. Marvel legends are big and expensive 2. Universe figures are the same size as my star wars, indiana jones and G.I. Joe figures so theres more play value

I still don't understand why people collect pops lol.

Dang bro, u forgot the Bandai marvel line. Amazing video nonetheless. My dream hot toys is that mark 47😤. I feel you I always appreciate POP figure slander and Avi Arad sneak dissing lol.
@SuperSwimTeam74 жыл бұрын
Haha, glad you enjoyed it! Dang, there's so much merch I can't keep up, lmao, ngl, I hate that pops keep better detailed chibi esque figures from taking prominence, nendroids pull that look off so much better
@criticalthought11123 жыл бұрын
I find it sad the lack of care that is put into the figures that are out now for kids. You know the ones. The ones who’s legs and arms are pretty much the only points of articulation. at least we have marvel legends I guess.
@25kchriss2 жыл бұрын
Wym?
@criticalthought11122 жыл бұрын
@@25kchriss good well articulated toys nowadays just aren’t made for kids now. A decently articulated figure is now just made for adults, and kids just have slabs of plastic.
