Hello, why does electrical flow comes from the Plus terminal of battery instead of minus?
@Janvisualphysics
@Janvisualphysics 10 ай бұрын
It's convention. In reality electricity is the flow of electrons, from negative to positive terminal.

Who even uses electron flow nowadays bruh, majority of books and even circuit design is in conventional current flow.

Q1: Why do we need that resistor? Or put differently: what would happen if we removed it? Q2: What decides how high resistance that transistor should have? Thanks for the video!

Isn't the collector only moderately doped?
@Janvisualphysics
@Janvisualphysics 11 ай бұрын
No. Collector collect 95% of the incoming charges,therefore it need to be heavily doped.
@betheljw7416
@betheljw7416 9 ай бұрын
If the collector is heavily doped as you suggest.. won't it (collector)get heat up as more electron are injected from the emitter? What's about the breakdown voltage too?🙏🙏

Npn transistor is connected to batteries. On input side, Emitter ( n type material...negative ) is connected to the negative terminal of small battery and base ( p type material....positive) is connected to positive terminal. This makes emitter base forward based, baising means the way you make connections. On the output side collector (-) is connected to the positive terminal of the large battery while base (+) is connected to the negative terminal. This way collector base is reversed biased. For a transistor to work as amplifier, it is necessary to make emitter base forward biased and collector base reverse biased. I hope this was helpful. Feel free to ask if you still have any question.

Liiks nice but misleading: the image comparing a BJT and a MOSFET suggests that the first is small and the second is big, which is wrong; you show a small power and a big power transistor (which can be BJT or MOSFET). And nobody ever puts a battery on the base like that; that's confusing.

this is not the proper flow of electrons...it is reversed & goes to the mic first the mic signal is coming from the negative end...and fed into the collector of the transistor....out the emitter...this video has it backwards...
