@@alien.superstar it's only free if you have no investments, no student loans, no tax credits, etc. Just a bare 1040. So, for the vast majority of people, it's not free. Unless you didn't report everything you were supposed to.

Nothings free in water world cuz it's takes a bunch of leg work every year I'm grateful I get the returns I do TurboTax has came thru the last 5 years

Turbo tax brought me along through my taxes for 20 mins before telling me I didn't qualify for the free version this year. They also asked for access to my account I sold stocks with. All good experiences with turbo tax in the past, but those are some shady corporate tactics to make you feel invested in the process and more likely to hand over money. It would have been very easy to get that question answered AT THE BEGINNING.

I have no idea why,I am being charged 40 dollars for state tax.I live in Florida and just hit skip as instructed on that part.I have done my own taxes since 2008 using turbo tax.I did buy the max because my taxes got a bit more complex but ,I don’t want to be charged for state as my state doesn’t have a tax return!

In box 16 of my W2, it starts with two zeros "003######". When I type it in the system or in the app, it gets rid of the two zeros. I've been looking for answers for close to an hour, and nothing has helped.

I filled my taxes just like every year. But this time its not showing me that I'm getting the 2k tax credit for my child.. I'm not making over the limit at year. I never had this problem before. Anyone with this problem? Any suggestions?

I e-filed 3 months ago with Turbo tax app and i never received any thing to this day. i called only got a machine at the other end that never helps. i tried login thru my computer and just says your account services unavailable even tho it went thru the first time. however i do get access thru the app. The app only displays how much i should received from federal and state and the time i filed plus a downloadable PDF of my tax returns. It does say that they help 24/7 but when i type my questions i get nothing so stressful. I am just beyond frustrated and not getting any help i feel like i been scammed by turbo tax. MY friend convinced me to file thru turbo tax worst decision ever

Last year I did TurboTax and was told I was getting $2700.ish I sent it snail mail this was for 2021 taxes. I didn't get any results back until late August 2022 and I had to pay more than $500 . I don't know why or how that happened but it did happen.
